I have a similar situation with a very dear friend. He absolutely stinks. The last time he was in our house the cushions off the chair he sat on had to be thrown out. He's lost all sense of personal hygiene and general taking care of himself. I try to circumvent the problem by keeping him outside,or in the garage if he calls,but at the moment I really don't have the balls to tell him to take a shower ffs. I know for sure he'd be offended and I wouldn't hurt him for the world.

I'm hoping someone else will drop him a word and give me a way out.
