Been offered a new assignment in the industry I work, back to London but outside of IR35
Good stuff, I think companies are starting to realise that blanket IR35 decisions won't work because contractors won't swallow the tax increase.

Just had fantastic enduro ride with the missus. She plateaued for a while but I kept pushing her to climb hills then descend safely. She nailed it today
Then awesome burgers up in Teguise
Half hour skinny dip with the missus
Just about to sit down and watch t'footy
Then into town to catch the late afternoon rays. It's lovely in the right place.
Then home to catch up on BSB & WSB
Another quiet day

Plumbed in my new pellet stove. Had my head up chimney half the day then, chimneys are minging.
The guy in the DIY shop (as I was buying stove pipe) , who was about 12, had the audacity to repeatedly remind me not to burn the house down.

I crocheted some Halloween figures yesterday - was going to post them to some friends' kids, but they won't get there in time
Today I was up early to make a large bakewell tart

Some friends are cooking a sunday roast and I generally offer to make pudding
It'll be interesting as I only had enough egg for the pastry, so have made a 'sort of' vegan frangipane (vegan recipe but used butter not margarine!!). It's got rum in it though, so hopefully they'll love it!! LOL
Taking bloody ages to cook through tho
Have been trying to work out how to 'attach' the pie dish to the bike to ride down (it's only 5 mins but it is sunny!) but I'm going to stick to a weekend of being kind to my arm, I think! LOL Heading down the valley tomorrow so probably best to use the car to carry the bakewell! (And I really don't want to break the dish! LOL)

Fitted an LED headlight to the XSR, fuck me it's bright!
Had to factory reset the TV, discovered that they now allow you to use satellite reception rather than having to go through a box, 500 channels of goodness

I'm going for dislocated over broken.
I've done both, I'd recommend broken. When I dislocated it the end of the bone came out at the shoulder, that was 30 years ago, still isn't right.
It seems the NHS agree with you. I saw two consultant surgeons today - the exact quote was "Impressive injury! I'd much rather you'd broken it"
SO now I get to go for a CT scan a lovely dose of radiation. The
best possible outcome of that will be "leave it and live with your bent skeleton". Oh dear.

TBF, if you go flying AOT again, try not to hurt your shoulder at all!! LOL EVERYONE I've seen about my shoulder has said that the shoulder is the worst joint to get fixed!!!
Gutted for you but hopefully they can get it a bit better. I'd recommend doing some research after the CT to find out what possible options are out there. The NHS doesn't do the sort of physio we can get here, and they are reluctant to 'mess around' too much if you can function (whereas here they want to fix things and get you back to how you were, or the closest possible!). If you have info before seeing the consultant after the CT you can chuck in some options. Maybe?!
Heal well and fast

I'm already booked in to see a private consultant next week, after my CT. Hopefully then he'll refer me on for appropriate physio. S'all covered by work

Took daughter to college, wife to nature reserve for her "forest school" course. Did some meetings online, then meeting at Church. Did some shopping for the family, then collected wife. Heading to the XPress Vaccination centre in Bluewater this evening for wife to have her "Fit to Fly" PCR test.
She goes on Wednesday evening to Hungary. Compline service at 9pm.

You've just reminded me. I was meant to have a Day 2 test sent to me whilst I was away. Never received it.
Just done a RAT and it shows I ain't got no forrin 'Rona, but I'll be on to the company that took my £28.

We arrived 20 minutes early for the PCR test, just as well as the queue was getting rather long. Wife managed to get the test done some 40 minutes after joining queue and we got back in time for me to do the evening service of Compline. Not booked the return test yet, but will think about that closer to the time. We both do loads of LFT's due to school/visiting vulnerable people etc...

Took my In-Laws to see my Daughters new house and then we all went out to lunch. Wife drove back so I could have a couple of pints with F-i-L and he paid for the lunch! Super friendly pub (The Bull in Halstead) and not three bad food either. Nice day all round.

When I fell off my pushbike the immediate injury was a impressively broken finger .
I’d landed on my shoulder and that injury didn’t make itself known for a week,or two .
Capsule impingement …
I seem to have got away with it but it reminds me now and again …

Swapped the taps on a sink so hot is on the left and cold is on the right as they should be. They were incorrectly installed from new.
On grandspawn's toy sink

My taps are the wrong way and it was deliberate. Its a mixer and i could not get to the nut to fix them in place so just fitter them the wrong way round as it was a swivel head. Job was done before i realised i should have swapped the hoses over. Quirky i think its called
