Fitted 4 Michelin CrossClimate 2's to the Superb on Saturday morning. Sunday afternoon, I had to drive past a SUV parked on our road and my tyre just touched the kerb, pop. 10 miles on a new tyre and sidewall is gone. Replaced this afternoon. I must give credit to Kwikfit, they knocked some off the price of the tyre, which was kind of them.

I do get why, but I'm peeved!

I want to change the flights for my nephew to come out. When I booked the flights (back in March) I booked the cheapest flight I could cos, had no money!

Ideally I want to change the arrival flight to an early afternoon flight instead of a late one. The difference in flight price is 37€. Total cost to change is 90€

Fuckers!! I'm doing it online, it's not causing extra work!!!

So, I have to wait until I get paid to be able to change the flight - by which time it will cost more I expect!!!

Binmen.

I know they've got targets and schedules to keep, but I've just got the bins in and the street looks like the aftermath of the Glastonbury festival. Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but the street is littered with plastic packaging, cardboard and other, not small, bits of rubbish that they have obviously not got in their collection bins or gone astray in some way. They could, at least, bother picking up some of the larger items that they've dropped.
I've picked up their leavings in the general area of my house, hopefully others will do the same further down the street.

And on a similar note, they seem to chuck the empty bins and containers back blocking the footpath as much as possible. The other week there was a lady pushing a disabled man along the street and I could see she had to keep stopping to move the bins. The bins for the houses either side of my place were completely blocking the footpath, so I moved them out of the way for her.

No wonder people don't tip them anymore. Gone are the days when they got cash in a card and a crate of beer from my Mum and Dad.

The binmen here are OK. They come every day and ride on the back like in the olden days

Ours is the same. General green wheelie and brown garden is not bad but the recycling wankers dont give a shit and teh street is just like you mention. Been like that a good few years now as its all subbed out to Bifa who dont seem to give a shit. Council have the cheek to ask us to keep bins as tight to garden boundary or kerbs as possible for the sake of pedestrians yet the pricks chuck them back any old way. My street is a school run and lots of folk walking to the shop at the end of the street. Them bins can be out all day till the residents come home from work.

In my old Gaff (Flats) binmen used to be a nightmare, bins blocking roads, rubbish all over the place, not even bothering turning up, but where i am now they are quite good.

My gripe with them is their complete lack of any attempt at not blocking the road when they park up. I have seen them stop opposite bollards when they could of just drove up a few feet more to save blocking the road, i've seen them parked on paths fully blocking the path, pull straight out on you without even looking or indicating, they are fairy hated here in Bristol as the roads are congested enough without having the bin lorries blocking all the roads when they don't need to if the drivers had even a little bit of thought for the other road users around them.

I nearly had fisty cuffs with one of the drivers many moons ago, and his excuse for always blocking the roads was "i need to protect my binmen" i don't see how moving the lorry up a few feet would make any difference to their safety!

There is also talks of our bin collections going down to 2 weeks a month, i shall look forward to the reduction in council tax if they do!

I see many drivers have arguments with the binmen when they're out collecting. I suspect these are the same people who demand cheaper council tax and their bins emptied on time.

For me it stinks of more council cuts so they can spend the money on speed ramps and more cocaine for their mates in parliament...

Really! Ours aren't full when they collect on a 2 week cycle. (Landfill waste one week, recycling the next). Kitchen waste is weekly.

Ditto, even when we were a house of 4 adults our wheelie bins were rarely full on a 2 week cycle, now it's just the 2 of us it ain't no big thing if we forget to put the bin out and it goes a month without being collected
