... I'm not sure that's the optimum angle for a flexi joint between motor and shaft.

I am not sure having it exposed like that just beside the back wheel is too clever either.

Spray and shit will destroy it soon, hopefully before a flapping pair of jeans gets caught up in it.

Air bag suspension, probably there to prevent it suddenly slamming to the ground when pressure is released.

Iirc they use Cheesy's favourite engine.
The enduro bikes are the old Cagiva Husqvarnas but made in China

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

SWM made mainly off road bikes, I think they went bust around the late 70's. A mate has a 280 trials bike from the mid 70's which he's owned from new. It's at the back of this lot.

Kawasaki's 'Square Four' engine layout wasn't revolutionary (Ariel’s 4-stroke Square Four was launched in 1931 and continued in production until 1959), and was intended to offer a balance of compact size and smooth power delivery, combining the benefits of multi-cylinder performance with reduced vibration compared to an inline-four design.
Judging by these pictures it seems to have been a viable running machine, though as with the Yamaha GL750 it sadly never made it into production, coming as it did at same time as Kawasaki's more conventional (and commercially successful) machines such as the Z1.

Apparently Yamaha also made a 4 cylinder 2T,but both bikes were killed off before production.

Following on from the earlier post on the the Kawasaki 750 square 4. Apparently it was an actual runner,a catchily named project 0280.

They're not great on a piston ported bike, I used to get a hell of a lot of fuel spitting back out of the carbs when I changed my H1 to open 34mm Mikunis. Frame was coated in fuel mist after a race.

They're also great in the power but it robbed torque lower down
