My pal once showed me that WD40 did wonders for the black plastics on my GSXR1000

: My eternal quest to cure faded plastics came to and end today. Owatrol Polytrol was painted on and rubbed in with a cloth and seems to have worked really well.
Less than 12 months that'll last, even if you went through the rigmarole of cleaning the plastics properly beforehand

12 months seems like a fair return on effort provided it looks a bit better at the end of the 12 months than it did at the beginning. Once a year maintenance seems OK.

I used a heat gun on my Transit Moho to get the black back, worked well.
No idea how long it lasted, I sold it 6 months later.

That’ll be eleven months longer than anything else I’ve wasted money on!

Sprayed my last van bumpers with Satin Black stone chip paint. Still looked good 12 month later.

You
must put the milk in the cup before pouring the tea.

Three simple rules that nobody I know seems to be able to follow (or maybe they think they're unimportant):
You
must warm the pot.
You
must use boiling water.
You
must put the milk in the cup before pouring the tea.
Boil enough water for 2 mugs.
Use half to heat the mug.
Empty water out and fire in a teabag.
Pour in water and mash the fuck out of the teabag.
Add a load of milk.
Drink.

After five years of predominantly WFH, I've finally bothered my arse to go and sit outside to work in the sunshine. It's so nice!

Yes, you can do it that way, and you end up with "a liquid which is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea*".

I was told that while that technique does work extremely well in the short term, it also damages the plastics and they become much more brittle ?
But you sold your's so we'll never know

Looks like I have a job to kick off the summer. I'll be travelling to the UK on Wednesday for a final interview.
Then I'll take a couple weeks off in Cornwall and start work on the 20th May.
It's a slightly different role for me this time. Houseman is my job title. I'll be looking after an elderly gentleman, making breakfast, driving him to appointments and making his supper. I've never cooked professionally before but as the client has specified he wants simple food, I'm feeling good that this could open more options for me in the future.
But best of all, it means I will get to ride the KTM 690 SMCR that I bought last year. I thought it was going to sit in storage all summer

And why do Crocs have holes in the top?
To let your dignity seep out.

I think the Gremlinette has been kidnapped by aliens and a doppelganger put in her place. This doppelganger hasn't realised that the real Gremlinette wouldn't rub down woodwork, paint it nor would she clean off crap from the summerhouse roof...

When do I call the authorities to report this heinous intergalactic crime?
If that was my daughter I'd be checking the current condition of anything I owned...
