Professional dog walkers who are far from professional. Both yesterday and today I've seen a woman in her twenties walking four dogs, all different, and a branded van in the car park. Big assumption, but I'm guessing same dog walking outfit.

Yesterday all the dogs were off the lead and two of the bigger ones came charging at Sydney, all barks and aggression. All fur and growling, so no biggie, but I called Syds to heel assuming she would do the same with the dogs in her care. Nope.

Today I saw one of her charges lay a dog egg on the path which she studiously ignored until I called her over and pointed it out.

Walking dogs is not fucking hard, is it? :angry-cussingblack:

If I don't come back as a nematode worm, when I get reincarnated I'm going to train as a horologist. Just enquired about getting a new spring in the chimes drive of an old carriage clock. Never mind asking them how much, they've got 7 months worth of work on the books, not taking any new work, even onto the waiting list. :(

Wonder if I'm too old to train? Quite fancy mending things. (I can do the basic stuff on bigger clocks but I'm not faffing with a 7" high, French, double train, 100+ year old job! It's already cost almost as much in maintenance as it did to buy. Should've bought a digital electric one. :( ).

And that's why they've got shit tonnes of work :D

Yup. :(

Next time I go in a place for a particular reason and the missus start nosing about while I'm dealing with the task in hand and she says 'Ooh, that's nice!' I'm going to suffer from an sudden attack of 'sorrynounderstandenglish-itis'.

M flies back to UK tomorrow with BA. Apparently she's going to get a complimentary small bottle of water and a biscuit.

Seriously.

I actually asked him if they'd run out of plates and he looked at me like I was the heathen.

Trendy hipster wankers, just cook my food and put it on a plate.
I hate food served on boards. And slates.

What about platters? Platters are generally good.

I've not seen one of those enormous oval "fry up plates" in years either.

At least platters will go in the dishwasher.

We took my FiL to a pub in the summer, the ploughman's was a sharing platter so I said I'd have it as well. It turned up on a chopping board with no plates, he asked for 2 plates and they brought 1 out.

Having a long weekend away in SoF, parked up on an aire, only 10 of us on a 120+ site. Nip down the beach for a couple of hours, come back to find Herman the Hymer had parked right next to us.
WTF is wrong with these people?

Fear of open spaces? A need to feel close to someone else, even a stranger?

No, I don't know either. Weirdos...

Bloody wifi!!

I know my laptop needs 'looking at' by a tech, but it works ok

At the notcatsit house, the ipad works just fine

I've come home for the night and the ipad won't play through the apple tv so I can watch on the TV. It buffers continually :( FFS, It's taken nearly an hour to watch a 30 minute program!!! And that's just on the ipad - I gave up with trying to get it playing through the apple tv thingy! Kinda hope it stops buffering when Strictly comes on - I'm going to turn off the laptop specially, just so there's a chance it all works

My cynical mind thinks that its Oranges way of making me/us pay extra for Fibre when it gets up here. If the normal wifi is this shit in the interseason when there's hardly anyone using it, god knows what it'll be like in the season :( :( :(

Happens all the time. Empty car park, park way over in the corner and 10 minutes later the only other car has just parked alongside.

Just added a minor detail.

Fucking cunts and their bastard fucking fireworks at 10.30pm on Sunday 6th November! Thankfully the dog is dosed up on calming pills so has just woken up each time and rolled over rather than shitting himself inside out whilst petrified.

Fuck the fuck off to Fuckoffsville, and when you’ve got there, fuck off some more.

I've grown up with dogs my whole life, I don't own any but my family have always had them and other animals to boot. Not one of them was afraid of fireworks. I love fireworks, as you may have noticed. Do you think the animals could be picking up on an owners anxiety?

One friend has a few dogs in the time I've known her and all of them have hidden and quivered. Another friends dog runs into the garden and barks at fireworks with it's tail wagging - she tells him he's a good boy for telling the fireworks off.

The first friend spends a lot of money on anit-anxiety dog treatment which isn't working :eh:
