It sounds like elegant variation to me? Having two 'men' in the same sentence would go against the grain for every self respecting journalist or copy writer.
An annual, month-long event which encourages growing moustaches to increase awareness and raise money to support men's health issues
How's that?

Not very inclusive. Old moustaches that aren't growing could raise money too.

But they could do it all eleven other months too.
Hmmmm ... that's not very fair is it, them being entitled to 11x the fund raising .. ?
And how do you (short of chemical castration) stop facial hair from growing?
Aargh - it's all too complicated! Is there a helpline or support group?

Do many original boxy Pandas out here. I had one as a first car. It was shit, but I find myself hankering after one.
Plenty fans here.

My dog got out
Every half hour or so I'd wander round the field and up and down the road whistling and calling.
After a couple of hours I became quite concerned, he often goes out fo sight, but always comes back in 20 mins or so (it's a 5 acre field with thick hedges all round, he could be 2 m from me in a hedge and I'd struggle to see him!)
I could hear a lot of barking from a nearby farm so went and asked them. Note this is far from Ideal, I tested positive for covid on Monday morning and had no intention of leaving my field ! " There's a post on Facebook " the girl tells me. I thank her for her time and set about finding the post.
2 hours previously someone had posted up that they found him on the road. I comment and send a PM. No response, I try to call through messenger, no response. I post on FB again asking if someone could call the OP. Someone send me her number. I call her
"Hey, yes, sorry, I think you have my dog"
" I've taken him into the vets in town (10 miles away) you'll have to go and collect him from there "
No friends or family available mid afternoon on a Tuesday so I have little choice but to pack up the campervan, drive into town then call the vets asd ask that they bring the dog to me in the carpark, which they kindly did.
Yes, he shouldn't of been out on the road
Yes, knowing that the phone numbers written on his collar were fading I should have bought him a dog tag (I have now ordered one)
I know she was trying to be helpful, but if she had left him alone, he would have been home a lot sooner
Maybe she was worried about him getting run over, but he's 5 and so far he has a 100% record in not getting run over
Posting on social media (a very small local community page at that) then not monitoring it, seems a bit daft.
Taking him 10 miles from where she found him seems daft also.
Ultimately the responsibility was mine, he shouldn't have been on the road, he should have had a tag. But in actuality a "helpful citizen" made an slightly awkward situation a lot worse.

In reality: your dog, your responsibility. No more than that.

Lass does the right thing and it boils your piss. If she left it and it ended up under a tractor that would boil your piss more.

Dogs and cats are always getting out/found around here. People always do the same, post on local FB pages and if the owner isn't found, the animal is taken to a local vet so they can scan for chip and keep it safe until owner is found. Considering the rime and effort put in, i'd be grateful TBH...

Loft clearing has BMP. Going up and down the ladder for 5 days ina row has done me in. Not sure I should have done it with a new knee, but I didn't really have any choice as we're having some alterations done next week to accommodate the new bathroom being fitted. But now there is no way I can test ride my bike today which I was really looking forward to. Ho hum...

Same here, literally every day. I dunno if the FB grapevine actually mops them up or whether it would be better employing a local dogcatcher to sweep the villages

No it’s an Edwardian cottage, previous owner was a serious bodger and an utter cunt.
To replace that lot I’ll have to remove a radiator and panelling it runs behind which can wait coz I’ve got a new front door to fit
The old kitchen taps were connected with 3/4 inch washing machine inlet hose, cut down and jubilee clamped to 10mm copper tap tails!
On the day we moved in there was a post it note stuck to the bathtub, “ slight leak under bath”

When you get to a check out and they can't serve you as they're waiting for a customer to come back with an item they forgot. Well suck fake, it's a check out, it's where you check out, not where your delay others because you basically don't want to check out yet, but reserve a check out

This is unbelievable. My pal was sent to hospital with a blood clot. Not sure where. She was waiting 36 hours for a bed.

I live in a small village. The same thing happens here twice a day. Checking today there’s also a post about someone urgently needing a wheelchair. Made me laugh cos the first reply said yes, I’ve got one, can you collect??

Small baths
Really wanted (needed) a bath this morning to try and loosen some of the grumpy muscles after yesterday. Where I'm staying, there is a bath

(it's rare in most places cos of space!)
So, I filled it (well, not completely of course!) and when I got in, I could either sit up and my legs and butt were under the water and everything else was cold; slide down a bit and feet, butt and lower back were in the water (cold knees and cold shoulders); slide right down so back and shoulders were in the water and legs were 'up the wall'!! FFS
There's hardly any point having a bath if you can't actually soak in it
So, my leg muscles are probably better than they would have been, but my shoulder and back are still proper grumpy
