Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Went downstairs at 6am this morning, made the usual pot of coffee, tea for Mrs. G and a bit of brekkie for me, took it upstairs and sat up in bed and there's a knock on the bedroom door. My first though was that the dog had had enough of sleeping downstairs and had come up to negotiate, but no, it was the Gremlinette, back from Manny having done her usual nocturnal drive down south.
Never heard her come in and the dog must have been in on the surprise as she didn't bark. She decided to get into bed with us both and have a natter, which was nice. She said that she feels much less anxious, more in control and generally more confident in herself. She half-jokingly accredits this with knitting and crochet.
What the hell, if it works.
She'd done me a nostalgic painting as well, which was nice.

I've finally managed to get a physio appointment

Great physio session yesterday. I can start weight bearing immediately and should be able to walk unaided in 2 weeks.
That's over 2 weeks ahead of schedule and means I can keep my summer job.

I think it's because I used it, the wife doesn't even know the indicators exist.
Fixed it myself by cleaning up the contacts on the bulb holder. Strange setup, the indicator is a bulb, but the rest of the lights are LED/Xenons

Yorkshire optimism
Over the weekend in Leeds, the sun was out and folk were enjoying it. About 15/17c
Saw loads of lads sat outside boozers with their shirts off
It was declared summer had arrived
Top bombing

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Yesterday I emailed a camping company to see if they might have any suitable vacancies for me.
Today I was emailed back by a former colleague, asking if I'm available for interview tomorrow.

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Best rant of the day. Saw this on FB after his bike got nicked
Fucked off is a fucking understatment , these cretins broke into my garage last night at quarter to 1 in the morning and stole 1 of my bikes , because of this i am now giving up my life time hobby , thats it fuck bikes and fuck this fucking country
As mad as i am with them that broke in
Can i blame them ?
Whats worse if they get caught ?
A slap on the wrist and community service because the prisons are full
Full of what ?
Tax evaders
Money launders
Weed dealers (yet its legal in other countries)
Someone called their neighbour an offensive word
Someone who was in the wrong place at the wrong time
But when it comes to the real criminals
Rapists
Child molesters
Home invaders
Even murders
There giving them next to nothing if anything because "dave" who has done really well for him self and earned £500,000 last year working his arse off didnt want to pay half his money out in tax and tried to beat the system , here dave ...... have 10 years
Then these low life good for nothing jobless wankers !! Come and steal from everbody that works and earns a decent life , without having to worry about paying even a gas bill , rent, mortgage, council tax as the government will pay for that as there "unemployed" .......... bless them
Never hated this country so fucking much !!
Really really can't stand it !!
The police arrest the easy targets coz it looks good on paper that they have made 40 arrests that week , all 40 been pretty easy work that doesnt trouble them too much
The whole legal system , how things work , the government , the whole shabang is fiddled and riddled more than its ever been
This is my final decision im going to make the next 5 years all about getting me and family away and out of this country
Everybody else has used this country as a safe country to "evade war" or get everything for nothing use the benefit system that it has well n truley fucked the country in the arse !!! The knock on effect going down the ladder is un real
Its us uk born that are now wanting to move to other countries , just look around your local town / village ........ theres more houses up for sale than theres every been , why ?
Coz United Kindom is past repairable and people are now moving away from this shit ole
And us with kids , do we really want them growing up to be scared thst if they offend the wrong person they may get stabbed coz lets face it , every decent parent out there with a teenager in this country atm is worried sick about this
And nobody dare confront anyone now for doing wrong as there gaurenteed to be carrying a weapon ........... so guess what .......... i'll get my weapon out i'll shoot/stab you in my own home then im the bad guy for killing / injuring someone on my property and im the 1 who goes to jail for years
Like i said above ....... wrong place wrong time (prisons are full of them) and any decent law would allow you to retaliate to someone been on your property upto no good without permission
The bike is replaceable , its the fact me and my family where sleeping when they broke in , the fact of having to sleep every night listening for a bang , not been able to sleep , what if this what if that
Im done with fb as well as been honest with my self , im certain that how they knew to target me
Police said too many people now put on when they go on holliday or even out for the day and this is where criminals look to see there window of opportunity
Same thing with people posting pride and joys or proud moments , its all bate for the low lifes
So for that reason ........ this is my last every staus on this shit ole , said all i need to say
The country is fucked
The legal system is fucked
The socials , FB instagram , X , all that shite is fucked
And from this moment / day going foward , theres only me and my partner who can control where we will be in 5 years , not 18 likes on fb
May be heart broken today
Nobody got killed
And a wise man once told me theres good in every bad situation , you just got to look at it from another angle
Piece the fuck out !!
Thats me done with posting anything about my life on here anymore
Quick update : thanks to everyone who has shared commented and done all they can to try not only catch them but also fetch a tiny bit of justice to the country again , i have a few leads to follow and i will be looking into this again thank you to each and everyone of you who has helped with this
A few comments asking why its day light outside , so.........
The first pic of the theives nicking my bike the light you can see is a mixture of my cctv light and my garage light
The second photo of my bike that was stolen was taking by myself in daylight hours about 5 days before the bike was stolen
Thanks again , please carry on sharing i really appriciate this and not only for me , but for them who still ride and enjoy the love of bikes just like i did , i don't want you to be next , it feels like someone has ripped your gut out
