The engine is an absolute cracker, it's the same as the one in my DT200.

I'd fit it better. Someone once told me when I was a teenager that I'd be glad of not being too tall as I'd fit better on to more bikes & into more fancy cars. It was me. I told me that.

Saw a FB memory of me on my old GSX-R750 K6 track bike many years ago, looked like I was riding a minimoto

I had a series of CBR/VFR/FZR400's in my late teens, I used to go get my knee down doing circles in the local McDonalds car park to annoy the boy racers.

Talking of mini-moto's...

I had those Oxtar boots!

I had to take the ti covers off the sliders when I first went racing (on an RD250E)

Good boots - still have a pair of TCX that I replaced those with!

I've had two pairs of TCX's since. Loads betterer than the A*'s I used to buy.

I've still got those Wolf leathers too, bit more battered now though. Not sure I'd even fit in them now though

My 400F had a 6" headlamp and 'ace' bars. Someone said I looked like a midget clinging to a lighthouse.

Later ... I had grey/red/blue leathers, rode a K100RT. Filly said I looked like Spiderman climbing a wall.

:D

Just realised I can stop worrying about never getting my knee down now, I have the excuse it's because my legs are easy too short 🤠

(Just watch all the other midgets come out and say "I can get my knee down, don't know what you're on about")🙄🤬

Is it me, I expected the guide price to be a bit higher?

An exclusive market either way.

I'm sure the running and maintenance costs will make up for any savings on the purchase price

I wonder what spare parts supply is like :D. My old boss used to have a 1990s F1 car as a track toy....he also owned a carbon fibre company, a high end exhaust company and several machine shops, sooo....

Did you not read the ad, it says something along the lines of it's piss easy to keep going for trackdays and stuff cos it's not electronically complicated like modern GP bikes :)

I lost interest because they didn't say its not for the faint hearted. Basically a learner bike :(

Reading between the lines I'm not convinced it has the 'right' engine in. It says what the original had and that it has GP3 parts/components. Talks about the frame a lot and says something about the engine number is unseen or something.

Probably be bought, stuck in a collection and never run again anyway :(
