As a younger man i used a gym quite regularly. My trainer there always said there is no gain in following the same exercise routine as you plateau and it was important to mix things up to obtain benefits.

Significant thing: got a call from the vet to say they’ve successfully caught all of one of our Labradors cancer tumours and are extremely confident they won’t come back.

My pal often borrows my GasGas for his enduro tours business.
He brought it back today and asked him to take my GSXR1000 out for a spin as it's been idle over 3 months and gonna be a while before I can ride it.

Thought he'd be 5 mins but could here him giving it large on the nice roads a short way away.

Was amazed he liked it so much. Said it was much easier to live with than his high maintenance, exotic V4 Panigale

Said it was just easier and more fun.

He's gone away to look at second hand ones :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Simplicity can sometimes trump exotic.

Ignoring all the sensible advice and digging that massive splinter out of my finger with a pin and tweezers.

The relief... :D

(Only I once again had to nick Mrs. G's reading glasses in order to see what I was doing)

Cyclists.

Not so much happy as makes me laugh.

Followed a cyclist on a 50mph road today for a mile or two. Didn't bother trying to overtake cause I know said road drops to 20mph for a village further up. No problem, just hanging way back.

Enter village, follow cyclist for about another half mile at ~10-15mph. Get to a bit which is dead straight for nearly a mile, still 20 limit and hoof it to overtake. "Hoof it" means bump up against the 20mph limiter I've got set.

So I'm overtaking this cyclist and doing bang on indicated 20mph, at this point I'm also fully over on the other side of the road like I'm driving in Europe.

He starts waving and gesticulating with one arm and shouting "it's 20!". I ignore him, get past, and pull in.

He then speeds up and sits right on bumper while I'm still doing dead on 20. Still waving his arms and shouting.

The thing which makes me laugh is: how exactly did he expect this situation to end? The very best outcome he could expect is that I do nothing and ignore him...which is what I did. But no he just kept right on my arse and shouting "it's a 20 limit" for another half mile. Seems to forget I'm in a 2 tonne car and he's wearing lycra :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Oh and if was so concerned I was 'breaking' the 20 limit why did he speed up to chase me?
