The problem is much more than the people crossing the channel in boats. Massive numbers of people in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America want a European/North American lifestyle. Most of them realise their only chance of getting it is to migrate, legally or illegally.
Unless/until we (Europe/North America) start using military force to repel them they WILL come, in ever increasing numbers.
Not a pleasant scenario, but the stark choice is to start shooting, or in 100 years there will be several billion who have moved.
Well Jack, you could simplify things and bomb the crap out of them before they leave rather than waiting for them to get here. Take off and nuke 'em from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.
Notwithstanding what Cousin Jack says above, what is your solution to the above migration which is even now overwhelming the UK's infrastructure, social, and other services?
Why would I have a solution? It'll come as a surprise perhaps but I'm not the Government. All I have is a vote and it certainly wouldn't go to anyone that thinks shooting unarmed people in dinghies is an acceptable proposition.
Sure, I have some ideas but, not being in a position to put them into action, that's all they are. I doubt explaining them to a bunch of people vaguely linked by motorcycles will have much effect. I'm not constrained from commenting on ideas that are, frankly, silly though if people are so keen to share them.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.
But certainty is an absurd one.

Politicians will prevarication, or dream up non-solutions. Anything in danger of actually working will be frustrated by legal actions anyway.
In 100 years time Europe will probably resemble parts of Africa. The rich will live in fortified enclaves, the rest will live in sluns and shanty towns. Life will be mostly short and brutal. The job of the police and military will be to preserve the rich.
However don't worry, This is not inevitable, we could have a real shooting war that might make your average African or South American decide that he is better off poor than dead.

It's ok, Biden says immigrants make America great and other countries trying to control it are xenophobic. Instead of Rwanda we can ship them all to Boston.
He also accused Russia of the same but they have a huge immigrant workforce so I'm not sure he knows what he's saying.
