I'd never heard of ETIAS until now. Do I need one when I to go to Spain in August?

Is this another of those "Everyone outside Europe" things?
And now we're outside Europe and realising we're not so special after all.

They'll be people pissing and moaning that "The EU is punishing us" like little bitches and writing into the Daily Mail to complain about the consequences of what those dumbasses voted for. I guess it must be embarrassing for em but they just apply some serious cognitive dissonance to the issue.

This is beginning to sound like an episode of 'Round the Horne' or 'Beyond our Ken' from the '60s. Jules and Sandy, anyone?

Well, at least pedantry is one step up from claiming to be the victim of decisions you voted for so things are looking up.

There are other European countries that are also not in the EU but hey, keep on feeding your victimhood.

But they haven't left the EU, as the UK has; they never joined in the first place, so there is no change of status.

Think of it as a messy divorce. If you were never married to someone in the first place then there’s no issues.

I read a report yesterday about net investment into the uk from other countries- pre brexit it was +200 billion. Last year it was -200 billion.
