I got into a rut of reading questions like this on Pistonheads and most said you shouldn't offer any money off as they'll keep asking for more. Explain it's a private sale and block/ignore.
A few suggested to offer a full refund if they returned it, which they wouldn't want to do if they're trying to scam a discount or are "far away". Plus they'd need to buy a ticket home.
Ask for their name, address and bank details. Then if they get aggressive you could threaten to report them to Action Fraud lol. Also HMRC as there's a limit if he's actually privately selling cars.

Obviously thought he had found a cheap way to replace the blown turbos on one of the cars he has in stock to sell. Buy your car, swap the turbos over and hope you will take your car back and give him his refund.
