Its fixed odds per bond isn't it? AFAIK they adjust the number of winners so that every bond (£1 each IIRC?) has the same odds of winning. More bonds owned - i.e. more money in there - means higher chances.

I read a thing about how to work out the effective I interest rate (think it was on money saving expert) and apparently the fact they have multiple prizes makes it bloody complicated.

My mates step mum does the same, puts all the money in, does one draw takes it all out. She's convinced it's better that way. Though unless she has the same amount again left in there all the time I don't know how she could know that removing and reinvesting is best. I suspect she wanted her way to be best so she tried it for a few months and over those few months it was, so now it's the truth.

I seem to have less than average luck at the moment, but there's always the possibility that you'll have above average luck and win one of the big prizes.

You don't get that 'chance' in a savings account.

WRT the taking money in and out thing...you don't have to know anything about how the system actually works to think that it smells a bit.

If you could improve your odds by doing that there'd be a big market for doing so wouldn't there? If there was even the tiniest crack of a chance for beating random odds professionals would be on it like a wall street trader on a coke surely?
