Read "The Salt Path" by Raynor Wynn.
Ordered  I think I will enjoy that. Typically, I have just had a ruthless clear out of books and now I am buying more

I've booked my sabbatical leave, May and June 2025. Nothing has interested me as much as Camino de Santiago so I'll be spending a few weeks walking across the top of Spain. I'm off to that region in May this year, but on the bike.

I walked the four miles into work this morning for the first time in months, mainly because the weather has been so wet. I feel good for it though I took some ibuprofen before setting out

If you're there on the bike, see if you can find Torquemada*, I seem to remember that area being rather pleasant.

* yes - birthplace of Tomas.

Nearest I am staying is Leon for a few nights. Torquemada is a 1.5 hour, straight line hack from there. I will keep it in mind

I'd love to do it. I won't though as I doubt I currently have the fitness and it'd probably accelerate the wear on my mechanical knees. But I think it'd be a wonderful thing for a bit of soul searching and quiet contemplation on life etc.
