For a Sunday cafe bike, a mate spent £4k a couple of weeks ago on a Ducati 500 Pantah.

I've changed my mind.

I'd buy a tow bar for the car, a light bike trailer and a Trials bike. Join the local club and see how badly I spank myself up Junior Kickstart stylee.

Or buy half of this...

I didn't know Beta were still making the Alp, they've been making them for over 20 years, they had a good reputation, do they still have a Suzuki engine?

I still really want one of these, but if what I've heard about the performance is correct I doubt I'd have my licence after one or two Sunday blasts.

Do it.

You don't have to ride it like a loon. (But you will).

I think it's ideal for a Sunday morning ride. Not as quick as the 990 but more than quick enough for the local cart tracks. I took a new one out for a morning a few years ago and I enjoyed it, but I was a bit worried about reliability. Not so much of a problem on a Sunday bike.

That one is also almost devoid of orange :)

Either Weeksy's KTM, or an MT10. Both will make you laugh and giggle, at sub 100mph speeds.

Have you picked that because it will help with straightening your old man hunchback?
