Yeah, the ADV was a step too far for me. (I used to volunteer to lead people around interesting roads when they'd booked a test ride at the local BMW dealer, usually on my own bike but one day they loaned me an Adv to try). I had an F800GS....meh...go for the Morini. :lol:
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.

I reckon a lot of GS riders would have been better off with a basic 'R' bike. For me, the GS was always slightly too high and wide (handlebars).
I used to put Renthals on all my sitty up bikes, standard naked bars always felt too narrow.

I don't know why people who weren't going around the world went for the Adventure, the 1st gear is too low and you lose the overdrive 6th. And what use is a huge tank if your arse is in tatters when it's still half full.
