What about a CB1000R? Seems lots of folk like them, comfy, fast, reliable etc. I cant believe I haven't bought one myself! :D

I know where there's a nice Ducati for sale. Fuelling issues sorted, never been thrashed, very well looked after.... :D

I did think as I typed about not spending money that I'm now going to buy another bike, tbh I should really look at a new car, the Mitsi is getting a bit tired suspension wise.

My bro had the cb1000r for 2 years and has just swapped it for the new gsxs1000, finds the new one so much better and more exciting than the Honda 😃

That's interesting, the Suzuki is quite a bit cheaper, and obviously I like Suzukis

Honda looks way more expensive than it actually is IRL.

I did look at the current CB1000R but next to the African Twin it looked tiny.

Tracer 900. I thought the one I test rode was really good. I think for me the GSXS is better but the Tracer fits the comfort bit more and has plenty of poke

The CB1000R is a normal sized bike, the AT is a monster of a thing that most people can't manage properly, but try anyway.
I think they're fine for the taller gentleman. Six foot plusers.

Short lads might be better to look at other options.

Mate of mine with an @ has to step on the footpeg and mount it like a horse  It means he has to put it on the centre stand every single time he gets off it of course.

Just how big/tall are these ATs? Are they that much bigger than a BMW GS and the old, smaller capacity, ATs?

(I think the tallest bikes I've ridden were Yam WR type things. You'd need legs like Twizzle to get both feet on the ground on them. As long as the seat isn't too wide there's a knack. One foot on the ground is enough  ).
