But a far better-funded retirement, apparently... Ducati use JZ as a test rider, in any case - all the new stuff appears on his bike first, so I'm guessing that Honda want him for his development feedback as much as his riding skills. Makes perfect sense to me.

Re: Silly Season is Starting
The thing with Zarco is that he's not really lived up to his early promise, he's got a couple of pole positions but hasn't really achieved since Moto2. I think it's more of a bum on a seat at LCR because Ducati want rid and nobody else will ride the Honda.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 7:08 pmBut a far better-funded retirement, apparently... Probably the best he could expect really. Always liked him but he did admit there's lots of young guns at Ducati pushing him and chasing his seat.

Hmm. Seems like Fab Frog has been bollocked and gagged by the Yamaha top brass.
He's in same boat as MM, but doesn't seem to have the same clout and bargaining power.

Well, he has 'only' won one MotoGP championship. How many has MM won for Honda - 5 or 6? It will probably backfire on Yamaha if they're not careful. Too much heavy manners and he'll fuck off to one of the Euros, who would welcome him with open arms.Yorick wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 9:26 pm Hmm.
