I'd agree that there is a want for them in communities, but maybe people want things without looking at the longer/bigger picture, at what cost?
As long as it isn't another way to force out the locally run shops, ran for years by good people, people who create and continue to help a community grow or to force more gentrification upon otherwise successful creative communities then maybe it could work, maybe!
I don't want to see plastic, fake, robot communities, that's where we start failing not just as a country, but as a race.
it up and think more about their 'legacy' than the poor sods that live in their big idea. Although, occasionally, a hated development turns into a 'don't you dare knock it down' place ie The Byker Wall but for every one of those there's a Park Hill.
