Yorick, you haven't offended me, if you want a "top of it's game" supermoto then you want something like a KTM SMR450, but they are very focused, like Wheelnut, I got the impression you wanted something softer, something that's the modern equivalent of a 350LC
Aye. I think you're right.
I saw the SMR450. Same price range as the 690s

Very very different kettle of fish in terms of upkeep though.

Depends, we're talking 2-3 days out between oil changes potentially on a 450. Do they run lights etc nowdays?
The 701 in whichever trim you picked is a simpler thing in terms of upkeep with 6000 miles services.
I don't know if the GasGas has all the electronics but I'm not sure you'd worry seeing your previous posts
What's the end goal of the bike? What's it's purpose?
Just to have fun. Shits n giggles.
Alone or with others?
The reason I ask is, you'll be topping out at 90mph, if trying to play with decent riders on 1299 for example, well that ain't easy. But a 690/701 will play and be a hoot all day with most people.
Personally for me, the Duke wipes the floor with the Supermoto in terms of riding. But I understand you don't like them and the riding position closer to your Enduro may suit more.

Got a reply from geezer I bought the GasGas enduro from
I have a good option for you for two almost new of these bikes. We have two DEMOs from last year. Very low mileage. We have a DEMO GG SM700 2022 with 5.000kms. aprox. We are putting new tyres this week. Also a DEMO Husqvarna 701 SM 2022 only 3.000kms. No accidents, fully revised and two more years warranty for both. Price would be 9.000,00€ for the GG and 9.500,00€ for the Husqvarna.
Prices for new MY2023 bikes are 11.299€ for HQV and KTM, and 10.925,00€ for the GG. That´s about a 2.000,00€ lower price for very low use

Have you considered something very different? Like you I have a choice of bikes but still felt like there was a gap in the stable and I spent years searching for the bike that I didn't have, only to find that it was a Caterham.
Cars don't really appeal to me . I had an Audi TT 3.2 4WD. Was great fun no no real desire for a sporty car.
