My Dainese leathers that go over my boots have been fine on at least 20 track days

It's pretty much full length, akin to fabric trousers.weeksy wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 4:10 pm
It's fine matey... long as they cover in a reasonable length.
I have never heard of that kit so had to look it up ....as everybody said "it'll be reet"Beancounter wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 2:36 pm Quick question, I have a Rukka Coriace leather suit. The trousers go over your boots, not inside. I assume this wouldn't pass inspection for a track day?
Yeah, it never sold well for Rukka. I bought it for half price at the NEC back in 2021 but I'm having to spend £600 with Hideout just to get it to fit comfortably. Still cheaper than the RRP.Bigyin wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 5:07 pmI have never heard of that kit so had to look it up ....as everybody said "it'll be reet"Beancounter wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 2:36 pm Quick question, I have a Rukka Coriace leather suit. Depending on which leathers her ''Crew Chief'' remembered to pack ?weeksy wrote: Tue Jan 24, 2023 4:10 pmIt's fine matey... long as they cover in a reasonable length. Dainese make 'inside' boots for going inside/underneath.
Thanks for confirming. I'm not 100% on doing the the track day itself but I'm so disorganised that I'd sign up and then forget to check about my leathers until the day before the event.Alan PBTD wrote: Wed Jan 25, 2023 9:47 pm Wouldn't have a problem with the Rukka suit either tucked in your boots or outside - I see it's two piece with a comprehensive zip for the trousers.
Personally I'd ditch the factory back protector and get one that fits you better and is seperate to the jacket. Been discussed on other threads before but if you run the OE one that would be OK.
ta
Alan.
Interesting stuff - ta v much. Now the fun part is no one stocks either locally - closest is Bristol. At the mo I prefer the vest but it even a xxl might be a little tight for me..dern wrote: Mon Jan 30, 2023 2:22 pm I know this doesn't directly answer your question but the Alpinestars Nucleon KR-2 is easily the most comfortable back protector I've had. It moulds to you when warm but I don't feel warm wearing it. The vest looks like it would make everything ruck up underneath it unless you were wearing body tight stuff.
Weather “might” be better although it’s the usual lucky dip and the weird local system that operates there …..Those dates would work for meweeksy wrote: Fri Mar 17, 2023 11:27 am I noticed @Alan PBTD has changed/added 11/12/13 Aug which would actually work well for us, especially as it's the wifes birthday that weekend.
Is that better for anyone/everyone ? How about you Alan ?
