It's one of those bikes that I'd lease for a week and then happily give back.
Probably after losing my license.

As I've said, I find these big bhp beasts a one trick pony, because once I've got over the initial rush of how fast it goes then I'd be stood looking at it moaning that it's ugly, heavy, too bulky, etc.
I suppose one should never say never though, I need to call my mate and arrange a test ride.

I really like that Zero electric bike, but it's pricey and I don't think only riding it once or twice a year would do the battery any favours.
I'd like to try one though.

Most modern bikes are around 200kg including the hyper and the V4 tuono, the DX is heavier than the tuono. As weight is mentioned a lot I’d head straight to try one of the 690SM in any colour. They’re as light as you get for a bike that’s made for the road with a warranty and normal servicing.

Failing that a KTN500EXC, supermoto it, fit a bigger tank, a Cush drive and an engine case that holds more oil. That’ll give you a 115kg bike that’s great fun

Meant to say going back to the start of the thread interesting on the opinions of both bikes from @Potter , Ta. The Hypermotard is definitely a riding position to get used to as it feels weird from the outset. (i rode an older version but similar riding position) The streetfighter is similar with the complete lack of anything over the front and very low console you have to almost look down to see, but as the Hypermotard has the MX style seat which sits you even more forward.

I wonder if the lankier among us would find the Desert X easier to handle as that worry about losing footing wouldnt be there. Havent even sat on one yet so hard to say but will try and get a spin on one soon

Great to ride as well. I'd have bought one as soon as I'd stepped off it, if it had been £5k cheaper and the range was 100 miles further. &/or you could fast charge it instead of plugging it into a wall socket overnight.
