It is ace, but hard work too. Forget a lie in, most days are on the bike and away by 8:30 at the latest, and sometimes arrive at the hotel at 7:30 ,with dinner at 8:00.

OTOH the scenery has been fantastic, the roads ditto. Hard work, but good things are never easy.

Today is Villach (Austria) to Fussen (Germany) with a choice of routes, Timmelsjoch or Brenner passes. Weather looks as though I will get wet. My waterproofs are not. Hey, ho, the joys of motorcycling.

Brenner, bit of non event. Then on to Fussen, biblical rain for final 25k, and the hotel bar is closed for refurb. Can it get worse?

Watch this space.

Restaurant served beer, so we took over that.

Today it is raining again, and I am soaked already. It is going to be a long day. Do you think I can return a rainsuit that leaks 10 years after I bought it?

Sorry for lack of update yesterday, it was a looong, wet, miserable and cold day. Not helped by knowing there was no fuel near last nights hotel, so I planned a fuel stop only to find that place only had deisel. I am now running on fumes, so watch this space.
Currently in La Bresse in the Vosges mountains and heading north for 1 more stop before the Tunnel. Todays forecast is cold and wet too. I can remember now why I like being a FWB.

Maybe buy a one-piece waterproof oversuit for the next tour?

Putting on yesterday's wet gear in a morning is enough to ruin any trip. :(

You can bask in the warmth of shared experience when it's all over. 8-)

At hotel, old, and weird, but (and this is a big plus) the radiator in the room is working, so no cold soggy trousers for me tomorrow!

Now in Bouillon, Belgium, so tomorrow should be a short trip, although the tunnel is booked for 18:20.
