Well I don't think I'd take on that ride for ten grand.
Would it be better if I said he deserved ten grand ?

Dunno fella, didn't actually understand that was the point you were making, it may have made sense to you at the time but could easily have been interpreted in many ways. Was just a bit confused.

call yourself an engineer and perfectionist
There's an adage in engineering; Quality. Cheaply. Quickly. You can have 2 out of 3, but not all 3. I needed Cheaply and Quickly....
In the electronics world it's 'on time, under budget, fully functioning'. Same, but different.

But not in software !
Very late, way over budget and does not work.
Well that's the case if you are .gov.uk doing the buying.

It's not easy, they keep reminding us.
Is not the mega expensive tracking system being run by a woman discredited for leaking loads of data somewhere else. Has the IOW trials shown any success yet ? I have picked up that the idea of using bluetooth which penetrates walls is not the brightest idea for judging if you had virus transmitting contact with another person.

and what exactly this has to do with riding bikes, meetups, adventures ? Keep the politics in the right place... keep the forum 'nice' in the parts it's supposed to be nice.
I've said this time and time again on here, i'm all for freedom of speech, post what you like, but i won't have every thread dragged into politics. Whether it was meant like that or not, i don't really care.... it's not happening.
the comment above yours about electronics was 100% related to bikes etc... You then just lobbed into into political derision of the government...
Sorry fella, it's not happening in here, not now, not ever. If that comes over as harsh, then so be it. I want people to be able to avoid certain areas of the forum if they want, if that then means they get to see the stuff they want in the other areas.
This ain't TRC, this is my game, my rules, my ball.

I'm afraid that led me astray, sorry.

140 miles of English/Welsh border today. Went into the naughty side for a while, accidentally but got away with it.

Stopped for lunch in a lovely place called Leintwardine. Sandwiches by the river bank. Nice scenery all around. Some looked a bit too young tbh.

On to Tenbury and Clee hill. You can see for miles from up there. Few bikes about aswel but in general roads seemed pretty quiet.
Vents open on the textiles but happy to get home and back in shorts and t shirt.
