No, bit then that wasn't a consideration. I've seen vans done to take motorcycles, you'd need an extra high roof.

Followed by the arch extensions. They're from the rear of the 5t van, I've had them fitted back and front.

Hopefully I'll be able to collect it late next week (fingers crossed).

Collected the van on Monday, here's the final lot of pics of the finished item. The van was partially loaded with a full tank of fuel, half a tank of water and some kit so I went to nearest weighbridge. It's heavy. I was 20kg overweight. The air suspension wheels and tyres were specced to allow the weight to be uprated, it'll go to 4100kg as it stands so that paperwork has already been submitted. Next is to get it registered as a motor caravan.

We're booked on a ferry to Ireland on the 23rd of December and from Ireland to Bilbao early January.

It's very .... "wipe clean"..... ;)

Looks great, I'm very jealous. Enjoy Spain in winter, it's great wandering around in shorts while the locals are still in fur coats. Do you know where you're going or are you winging it?

Blame wifey. If I hadn't got involved it would be all white. It looks a less stark now we've moved into it.

We don't have plan for Spain other than just turning up. I think we'll see where the sun is and head there.

:D Best plan.

If you're on the Med coast, Cullera is nice if you want a nice beach but not much company: it's a resort the Spanish keep mostly to themselves (I think it's one of the '2nd home' places for inland cities like Madrid or Albacete ). There won't be much open out of season, but it's a nice place.
Javea (Xabia) will be a bit busier, but less so than the resorts on the south coast.

Happy new motorhome day
Mojacar playa well worth visiting. You can stop down the front for about a week before the GC pay a visit. Aldi just up the road too.
