Thought about making a time lapse video thingie, but couldn't set the timer on the camera to longer than 1 minute, I think 5 minute would have worked.

Re: Pool upgrade
The light has a rather spiffy remote, you can pick one color, or it can cycle through 6 colors or 7 colors, plus it has controls for brightness, the speed at which the colors cycle & two options for the color cycles... Probably explains why one light bulb was $90...
Did have a minor panic yesterday, once the pumps fired up a bunch of crap blew out of the jets. Grabbed the net to scoop it out of the pool & the damn thing left marks in the new finish. Oh fuck...
Fetched a brush & the marks were removed. however, couldn't reach all of them. THEN the pool guy says "no brushes etc on the finish for three weeks"
Well shit... Here's me thinking I've buggered it up.
Had a look this morning & the marks I couldn't reach have disappeared.
Pump will be running 24/7 until Saturday when we get the new filter set up installed (another $1500).. so we're a little over $10,600 so far.
It's so fucking hot the level is dropping 1in/day. Might be cheaper to plumb in & run a water cooler in to stop the evaporation than pay for the water.

Re: Pool upgrade
Is it a lot cooler at night there ? If you have space you could run the water through radiators overnight to drop the temp.

Re: Pool upgrade
3weeks since it was finished. Now we can put the scrubby thing back in the pool. Took a while to get the ratio of water going to the pump between this & the skimmer thingie correct. about 60/40 seems about right

Re: Pool upgrade
Still haven't got the new filter set up installed because "covid"... There's at least a 4 month delay. Pool dude was going to shitcan the new set up idea & just swap out the grids in the old filter. They were supposed to show up yesterday. They didn't.
