Still got some of the 2 cases of Trappist Westvleteren that I collected from the monastery in November 2019 left.
I had a bottle of that once, staying in a Belgian hotel for work a few years ago, the hotelier brought it out for me having asked "would you like to try the best beer in the world?".
A tall claim to make, I thought, but he was right, it was amazing, like drinking chocolate ale. About 14% though I seem to recall?

They were doing 3 beers last time I looked, a blonde (can't remember the strength, an 8% and a 12%. I bought a case each of the 8 and 12. It's certainly lovely beer, best kept for special occasions. I love going to Belgium, even their Jupiler is nice and the range in most supermarkets is just superb.

My favourite beer is Duvel and in particular their Triple hop. I have however been swayed by a local brewer (www.thebelgianbrewer.co.uk) although keeping in the same style. I got through bottle of this stuff last year ... well in the four months I was having any drink.

So far this year I'm still on the wagon but the beer fridge is full ready and waiting

Lad at work told me about this. It's a dark beer with plenty of flavour, but not hoppy. I'm fussy with the ales but this is bloody lovely.

Aldi's finest. Highly recommended. 🍻

Must say I've enjoyed the Old so might stick another order in before they run out.

Henry Weston's medium dry vintage cider.

He does others that are in a similar bottle (it has the gold label). But this is the daddy.

At 8.2% it's got a kick like a shire horse, but it taste's great, not too acidic or fizzy.

Three of them and I'm break dancing in my pants :)

I drank beer my whole life but I've gone onto cider recently...

My favourite tipple though is Jack Daniel's and Pepsi Max, with ice.
But that gets messy.

Maybe there's a park bench with my name on it?

I fell off the wagon last night. First beers of 2021 : 6 beers including some Belgian style 7.5% ones and then I woke at 2:00 in the armchair.

It was nice to have a beer after getting home after a today's ride. I was over dressed for the 20C weather so a cold beer hit the spot : local brewery - Redchurch.
