I think he ended up 17/38 on the day with Olly in 16 and 5s overall
For me, I think I ended up 43/43 as some it seems had no completed when we checked results earlier.
You may think "wtf that's rubbish" but you know what, I had an awesome day out and rode stuff I didn't think I could get down, raced hard and pushed myself outsidey comfort zone many many times today
I'll take last place over sitting on my arse doing nothing all day, every day.
The terrain once again was hard hard hard! Steep, sketchy, jumpy, techy, FFS it was daft at times. I was quite shocked I completed 5 stages without lying down looking at the sky in pain. Amazed actually.
The videos we watched don't do justice to how tough it was.
Cracking fun though.
Cost me £30 for a red bull rampage t-shirt and £10 for 2 fabulous beers as well!
Bet you would have been in the early 30s on the Bird

That’s my riding technique, “the stare 6 inches in front of the wheel and deal with anything when it arrives in my field of view as I’m not having any of that looking ahead and planning nonsense”

Funny chat here

Well funny to me. If it's based on birth year the implication is that I should be in 50-59 Cat.
Which instead of being 43rd out of 43, would put me 25/27

I crashed on stage 2, well more stepped off the side than crashed, I did crash on 3 though, but slow and into loam. Stage 4 I survived.
I'm not actually sure how I'll finish this course ha ha.
Good fun but they take lots and lots of concentration

Do they run events over the winter months, and also for emtb's ?

8/21 for the boy
Somewhere about last in Cat for me.
I'm not unhappy again with that, but of course I'd bloody like to move up. I was only 2s off the place in front.
Funny part is, he'd moved me into super vet, 50+. If I'd stayed in 40-49 I'd have beaten 2 ha ha.
It was incredibly tough terrain though.
I crashed on stages 2-3 and possibly 4 but all on loamy wet roots, just get up and dust yourself off and crack on. They were more falling off the side losing front or back on roots than actual proper crashes.
Worst damage was burning my leg with a red hot rotor when trying to straighten the bars lol.
It was a heck of a lot of fun in a complete brain removal and hang onto the bike trying not to die kind of way! I never thought being so shit could be fun.

None of the series I know are winter based. Today was last in the series. Also Google PedalHounds and Haibike enduro. Generally every event has Eeb cat yes.

Looks like we're racing on HSD now, which seems at least in my opinion to be far better for me... not sure it's better or worse for the boy
