Re: A right now thread
Just watching Hairy Bikers in Spain and they’ve been to Mar Menor where you can bathe in the mud in the Med and it’s apparently good for you. At the end the Hairies were standing there in their small budgie smugglers, covered in blue mud from top to toe eating churros and chocolate.

Early out of bed after a horrendous nights sleep, or lack of.
Cleaned all the windows on the house.
Sausages in the oven for a sarny.
Planning a clean throughout the whole place today.
Then beers, dinner, snooze, bed.
My day by Mick aged 60 1/2.

Re: A right now thread
My mother unfortunately passed away on the 14th. I am currently trying to arrange things from Sweden including the trip back for her funeral.
And getting massively frustrated with the idiocy of the UK and its covid response. Basically I have to self isolate on entry, a rule that they only just implemented after 4 months of isolation and test free travel by hundreds of thousands of people into the UK.
I am allowed out of my self isolation for the funeral, but face a £3200 fine if found outside at any other time.
Yet the entire country can apparently go and sit in pubs or on the beach breaking social distancing rules and not face a fine. I have tested negative recently, I have been in isolation since I was in hospital, I will be driving to remain isolated as I refuse to fly. But I face the stupid fine while the rest of the country pretends this doesnt exist and are more likely to be spreading it.
I will be returning the day after the funeral as sitting in a hotel for 14 days is not an option I am prepared to do but I just find the whole thing idiotic. Oh and apparently there are now 6 testing centres for the whole country. New Zealand tests everyone on entry, and I think that would be a far more efficient thing to do but apparently the UK doesn't do sensible these days any more.
Is it just me that finds this whole approach insane and could be handled better? and yes I know I am sitting in a country with an even worse approach that Denmark and Norway still have their borders closed to Sweden, and the only way I will be allowed in to transit Denmark is to present the death certificate and funeral documents. :/
Sorry, just needed to rant a bit atm

Re: A right now thread
Stupid o'clock. Woke up early as usual but was too warm to get back to sleep.
Woke the wife up to see if we were going to Mallory, as we were discussing it, the heavens were opening and deluges falling. She decided 'no' and went back asleep.
I'm now sitting here waiting to go and collect my XSR headers and plotting what's next.

Normally all you hear on the radio is Hocus Pocus so i went for a look and listen to this album after reading your comment. I shouldnot have bothered;
Elevator music springs to mind.

Re: A right now thread
Just having a few cold 'uns in the Square with a few pals. A few tourist families have walked through and they really do stand out now.
One family stopped at a bar on far side, and instantly got into holidaymaker mode
We've enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Re: A right now thread
Been hot all week, but wind dropped today. Had a few beers in town and got taxi home coz of the heat.
Now sat in me undies by the pool. Still 31c, but a slight breeze.
Beer is ice cold as I put several glasses in the freezer bit of the patio fridge.
And it's absolute silence. Almost deafening quiet.
It's tough, but I muddle along.
