Probably a CB500X with those spoked wheels on it. Saying that, my 1k Pan does everything. If you tried using the K12 Arseport as a daily you'd need shares in BP.

I used mine as daily transporr for 6.months, no thirstier than anything else of the same vintage and capacity..... Until you got silly...

The tube framed Buell's seem to be on the uppers, I think in 2045 the Tubes will be worth loads more that the later ones.

Tubers and fuellers. Went to see a chap in Manchester once, he had half a dozen Buells. He was the Buell man to see. I recall him saying the 2001 white lightning was the one to have, he had one. I had an xb and when running was good fun, however. It was a proper tractor compared to everything else then.
I liked the belts, didn't have to do anything with them, with the spring tensioner fitted, no probs. Fuel in frame, engine oil in swingarm, definitely plenty of character to be had.

Not as far as i know, there have been a few other bikes through the family stable since then and i even checked out one he bought locally here for his other half a few years ago.

Sadly the KTM 390 Duke is the most expensive of the ones I'd have but might just get one for 4k!! LOL

Yup. Bikes tend to hold their value here (except the other two I like!! LOL)

If I was ever in a position to buy one again, I'd probably have to look into the cost of importing - but would guess that the costs for a new bike will negate the financial benefits of buying over there

No idea if he still has it but I remember riding it to Docca’s from Maceccht’s (Medway to Guildford). It cut out four times on the M25, first time in lane 3 and even with clutch in it slowed fucking quickly. Properly shat myself. When it was running it was a lovely bike to ride.
