Those look like Protek sliders... I think I've still got a pair in the shed
My Manx Leathers one-piece had velco for sliders as an option - I think that was 86 or 87 when I got that suit.
Stuart Adamson was a big bike fan. Mark Williams flew up to Scotland to interview him for Bike. He got off the plane wearing a fashion jacket and Levis to find Adamson waiting to pick him up with his brand new bike - a VF400F if I remember the article right - and a spare helmet. It was a 50 mile ride to Adamson's gaff... in January. Basically, he explained he'd just blown the pay out from the first album on the bike. The deal that they'd signed seemed good at the time but diverted most of the cash to their agent and the record company.
