As soon as you put it on, you've dried about 75% of your body.

I wished I'd had one for all the freezing cold bathrooms in my youth.
Cos they are bastard hot!! I don't need to reheat after a shower

Fully wrapped in towelling? It's hot for me!

I do have a towelling dressing gown hung on the door, but TBF, I'm showering to get dressed or go to bed, so really it has no need - a dry with a towel works just as well, quicker, doesn't reheat :) :)

But each to them's own!!

Honestly don't see the point  I have some BIG bath towels which wrap around for decency incase I have visitors or take them somewhere when I visit.

I had to but the towelling robe purely for the first rehab centre cos we did pool therapy and changed in our rooms - better coverage for going to and from the pool down the corridors

B-b-b-but...with that bathrobe one can pop yer curlers in and float around in it all day like Hilda Ogden after a football pools win. :D

However, back on the towels topic, a big  for linen bath towels rather than towelling here. Particularly  in the warmer seasons.

Curlers   do you think I'm girlie or summat ??  I just wander around with the big bath towel wrapped around me and a smaller one around me head :)

I really want to try some bamboo towels , but the towels I've got don't need replacing, soooo . . . . probably won't :(

I gave up with bamboo stuff (used to buy things from a clothing outfit called BAM) when I found it was a semi-synthetic and not every producer is as careful with the waste chemicals as they should be. Mr Dazzle's employers looked at using it in their vehicles but, iirc, gave up as it was too difficult to validate the eco credentials. Not that a lot of cotton is any better in many respects. Linen FTW. (France and Belgium grow the besterest flax for linen. Ireland is OK but low volume really now).

Does anyone still use curlers? :D

I can only look on in awe of that level of organisation in terms of towel area specifics.

Wouldn't work in our en-suite as we share whatever towel is to hand (not at the same time, obviously) so I could be rubbing Mrs. G's feet on my face first thing in the morning. Or worse.
You only need to smell an invisible skid mark while drying your face once and you'll never share a towel or use it the wrong way around again..
Vom.

That’s why I’d never consider using a towel twice.

Take one off the pile, use it even if it’s just for a shave, and drop it in the linen basket on the way out.

Rubbing someone else’s skin cells all over your body is minging.
Sod that, we have seperate bathrooms so sharing a towel is never an issue.
