Never.

Apart from when I borrowed a full-dress Wing for a few weeks :D
Me neither. Music makes me happy. Happy is a distraction.

On high res music it's absolutely sensational. Cant quite believe what im hearing. I spent some time treating the rear wall and ages pulling the speakers around the room.
The babyface is insane.

Tidal is high Res but because windows doesnt change properly between tracks so use audirvana and it works very well. Spotify is low res. They are missing a trick as the interface is great.
That was Chinese to me :obscene-birdiedoublered:

I've tried listening to music on the bike but don't really hear it a lot of the time as concentrating on surroundings etc. I'd have liked to have listened to LBC talk radio on my ride in but can't follow that either. Maybe because i'm commuting in heavy traffic as opposed to wafting along country back roads?

Another thing s is, I've been wearing ear plugs for over 30 years and riding without them feels odd? I keep meaning to borrow my sons noise cancelling air pods and seeing what they are like.

If we're in the garden I have Alexa out thee with something on DAB, but I don't, or rarely, have music up loud out of my respect for my neighbours. so I've never seen the need to invest in abetter speaker.

I reckon you lot are a jinx. I'm sat in my upstairs office, bit of background music on, when the Sonos went quiet, gave a bit of an electrical graunching noise and seems to have died.

In fairness it is a 1st gen Play:1, so I've had my musical money's worth out of it.

Will have to purchase a new one.

For me it's not a case of following or really listening to the music, it's just there in the background taking up minimum cognitive abilities and drawing as little attention as it can, until an absolute banger comes on and you wind the wick up and RLAC for 3 minutes

I imagine a 50s ballad might have a different effect on your riding to Firestarter! :D

Drifting slightly off topic  I have found that screaming, proper roaring as loud as I can, shouting and singing helps me keep warm when I'm riding

Just a smidge.
When I'm driving in a car I consume metric fuck ton hours of audiobooks, I rarely listen to music in the car, but I can't listen to them on the bike, my brain is away doing the biking thing and doesn't have the spare capacity to follow a story.

Unbridled screaming with facial contortions is great release when riding, but it can bring you to the very brink of madness!

I've digitised large chunks of my vinyl and ripped a fair number of CDs, the proceeds of which now sit on various desktop computers, which are slowly becoming media centres. I do also listen to vinyl on my Technics decks and CDs on the Pioneer DJ decks when in the music room (which is a glorified music cubbyhole if I'm honest).

I listen to a lot of music, but I can't be bothered with faff, so I've got a couple of decent bluetooth speakers for the house and garage and listen to Spotify through those, or Apple ear pods if I don't want to disturb anyone.

Err...nope. TBH, when I listen to my system I don't keep hold of the volume control. :D

I can adjust it with the remote if I feel lazy - and when I do the volume control goes rotates....which is quite cool.

However, I may have misunderstood what the purpose of a volume isolation doohickey is for.....

I use iTunes for music and listen to it on my phone and iPad via AirPods or Sennheiser headphones.

My commute to work is an hour both ways so I listen to a lot of music whilst driving and at work depending on what I’m doing, if we’re all working together I sometimes get the Bluetooth speaker out and use that for music and the radio. I can’t remember what make and model it is, it’s fully waterproof which is handy.
