You even have to pay them rather than they pay you to take it off their hands!

We’ve recently added an en suite to our ‘new’ house, and prepared for our future dotage by specifying a washing/drying bog. Mrs W thinks it’s the best thing in the house, and uses all its abilities all the time, while I just use it as a bog. One of the big advantages is that it fulfils the purposes of a bidet as well as a toilet, but without needing twice the space. Win win. Iccy would be thrilled, and he’s hard to please!

Why would anyone buy a bidet? Which way round do you sit - face the wall, or out? Perch on freezing porcelain or a nice comfy toilet seat (apparently heated is possible!)? Warm air drier or paper towels and a special bin?

Yes , it cost a bit, but still.

We're trying to start a panic buying spree of rectal ablution installations.

(Investment tip - go large on Sparklebum Porcelain Inc and Clagblaster Accessory Co before it really kicks off).

Most material things are just trinkets that you can live with or live without and it has little effect on your life, but a decent bathroom can make your visit a genuinely pleasant experience.

I worked with a guy that spent a fortune on the bathrooms in his rented house, something that I wouldn’t have considered in rented property but he gave me a long speech about the effect a good bathroom and toilet facilities can have on your life and I never forgot it.

It’s not even a little thing, you’re in and out of there several times a day and if each time is a nice experience then it adds value to your life. Walking out feeling fresh and relaxed is worth the effort. All our bathrooms have a bidet but they’re also modeled to make them nice places to spend a penny.

You can tell a lot about people from their bathroom.

A good friend refuses to compromise on three things: Coffee, cheese and toilet paper.

I don't fancy anything spraying up my arse. 😲 Baby wipes will do a nice clean up if things have got a little explosive. Chuck in the sanitary bin, job done.

DO NOT FLUSH WIPES DOWN THE TOILET.

Sounds like you've spent more than a penny! :D

My Sister rents out her flat in order to rent out a much nicer flat in a prime position in Leigh-on-Sea. Her landlords must love her as she's fully redecorated it to a very high standard! They've even stopped doing annual inspections!

I must have few things but I do insist on vintage Taittinger and good lighting.

And no sand toileting.
