The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.
Re: Eire

Google maps has been having a larf with us as well, last time I suggest eco friendly route in Eire. It got.... exciting at times.

Today we have been suckling on the milk of human kindness.
Ring of Kerry shook my bike to pieces and I lost the top yoke nut. After speaking to a couple of bike shops, they all said try Merlin at First Class.
So that is exactly what I did. Looking around the walls of his 'showroom' were
A KR ypvs, gsxr1100j, suzuki gag 50, rgv250, rg250g, rg500, katana 1100, SP1, GSXR K5, GSXR750G. All mint and original
The guy loves bikes. Told him what I needed, 5 mins later out he comes. We have a chat about motorhome etc, and he forks off.
How much I ask, 'ahhh be on ya way'
Wouldn't take a cent.
So big shout out to First Class Breakers nr Avoca

Bit of wildlife.
Sadly my phone died whilst the red kite was hovering overhead Down at Arklow pier, the seabirds are out in abundance, with seagulls using our roof rack to crack open whelks.

Well last night we were eating/drinking in the republic's most easterly pub, and today, in the p!ssing rain, the highest waterfall. We were going to drive up to Sally's gap, but been told the cloud will obscure everything, so maybe next time.
Wife having a bit of a moment as the bloke on the gate didn't ask for proof when she asked for oap discount!

Well after a bracing night, we were up at the crack of 1030!
Headed east to piss poor 4g and Derry. Has anyone told them about the good Friday agreement yet! Listening to the tour guides spouting off, sectarianism is alive and kicking!
I must applaud the efforts of the towns folk for all hallows eve, I'd say 8/10 are properly made up/ costumed. Edit: just listening to R2 news, what should they report.... The Derry Halloween Festival. Explains muchly!
I've not seen any episodes of Derry girls, but judging by the either the permatanned lip fillered brunettes or short pudgy blondes, I'm guessing they had plenty of material to work with. Enough editorial, pictures!

Re: Eire
It's sad to say that this morning I couldn't be arsed to spend 30 minutes getting the bike out, 30 mins putting it back in, for a 30 min ride!
I blame her and all the crap she brings for the winter!
Ballymoney next stop!
