I have a completely fake FB account for viewing menus etc without getting the annoying login pop up, so I'll stalk you with that, but given I don't actively use it, reminders here will be handy

.
(I use 'Photo & Picture Resizer' app to shrink photos to post here)

Finally clicked on the FB link !! (not cos I don't have FB, just cos this week has been looong and I didn't have the brain to take in a trip like this even from a distance !!!)
Bloody awesome ! Am very envious
Totally makes me want to plan something for when I do actually have a bike again (others that have done trips have also made me want to, I'm slightly limited physically, depending on the bike, but I can just plan a shorter trip with shorter days!!) - I'm kinda lucky to already be close to some other countries
Might use some of my winter breaks at various airports to make a plan - we get quite a lot of holiday here, so I could do the Manx GP with some mates here and also a little tour of some countries near here. I've been promising God some bacon for bloody years, so I guess Croatia is a must do stop
Love the pics
@Trinity765 the trip looks totally awesome

I am lucky to have a chance to do it. I knew I had to get to Romania by 2nd September latest but apart from that I didn't have a plan. It's going so much better than I could have planned it anyway

Great stuff. Reading this and after popping into my local(ish) dealer today means that the ST 765 R (not RS) has now made it onto my new bike list. Along with the new 25 model Trident as well.

Now that's a garage!
Place you did the Transfargarian tour from by any chance (going by the 400s)?

Yes it is. I organise trips and tours for a club I am in and I have two groups coming over to join me from 2 September. We have arranged a couple of KTM 790s as well as the Svatpilens.
Today I am going solo to Brasov. Then I will be stopping at friends of friends in a village for the night. The couple where I am staying are setting up a dining/wine experience in the hills. They purchased a beautiful vineyard with great views and bought an oak barn which they moved it 30km. It's an incredibly project.

That looks properly mental

Let us know if it lived up to expectations...

Great twisty roads and scenery and it's obviously a biker Mecca as I saw lots of bikes. The problem was traffic, lots of traffic on the major and minor roads. If you wanted to get a move in it would have required constant overtaking

Apparently this is a (kind of) bank holiday weekend and the children are off school still. So, Brasov would be a great base for a biking trip but off season.

I loved Brasov last year - way more than the capital. Some lovely places to eat/bars there too: 'Juno wine garden' was ace, if you're still there!

Hello!
I have just completed the first of the two trips I am leading here and everyone had a fantastic time. Trip two are arriving in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
I haven't had time to take pictures but have borrowed these from a friend with their permission. They were taken on the Transfagarasan.

P.S. Daytime temperatures have been consistently above 26c with no rain since I got here.

Nice!
Too soon to ask where you're heading to after you've finished leading the next tour?
(This is making me get proper itchy for a European tour. It's been a while. It's also the wrong end of the year, but hey, that gives me planning time

)

Looks
Road surface a bit sketchy in places?
You could do a cracking, pretty unique, competition on that road. Might be a few issues with safety but they manage other road races here and there.
