I think Tiepin could just possibly be John Wick the way these sequels are coming out.... Enjoy it and remember keep it shiny side up.

One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Re: NBT: Ive just bought my forever bike part 3!
Just got a notification that the bike will be delivered tomorrow.
Went online to insure it and despite hitting tomorrow as a start date, it took the start date of the 12th from the compare the market quote?
No problem, I'll just ring them and get the start date amended. Lol, no chance! Computer says £35 cancellation fee!
So a long story short, I had to take out a new policy and then they can cancel the original one without a fee. They'll refund me in 3-10 days...

Re: NBT: Ive just bought my forever bike part 3!
Bike turned up just before 10, so I hopped on it and came in to work. That's a right result as I normally work from home fridays and swapping the wfh day to today would mean arranging someone to let the dogs out on friday etc.
ANyway, felt at home on it right away. First oddity was no left hand lever, as the XADV had its rear brake mounted there and i'm used to riding with my fingers on the levers!
The mirrors were loose where they'd been turned inwards to get it on the van, and the delivery driver told me about them and pushed them back out, but numbnuts here forgot to tighten them and they came loose as soon as I went over 60mph.
Didnt realise I used the mirrors so much as it was really annoying.
Suspension is so much better compared to the XADVs, much compliant and less whacks over bumps etc.
TFT screen shows me there are all manner of adjustable rider modes
but i just stuck in D and rode off. WIll look into them later.
I did sussout the cruise control on teh fly and that is brilliant!
Oh and it came with a full tank of petrol!
Never ha dthat before. Thanks Destination Motorcycles!
Early days of course, but I reckon its a keeper!

Turns out it has the low seat on it, so i've bought the high seat to enjoy ongoing comfort. Also ordered a black backed 8x6 and a rather spiffy little tail pack to bung my sarnies in!

Re: NBT: Ive just bought my forever bike part 3!
I may have messed up.
I decided the seat was too low as I did feel slightly cramped and bought a "high seat". Then I remembered they do have a 2 position seat and it was on the lower position, so I put it on the higher position and it felt fine on the ride home. D'oh! I'll try the higher seat when it arrives though as it may be even mroe comofrtable, if not i'll sell it on again.

Re: NBT: Ive just bought my forever bike part 3!
Well the spiffy little back pack was a waste of money. Ridiculous straps that whne tightened, just slide undone again!
Probably could mod it was bungee straps or just better quality straps, but for now it can reside in the loft-of-plenty!
