It was a very quiet day yesterday. In fact I think I only spoke to about 30 people. Part of our problem was having too many on the stand, about 12 people from various F&R, Police and us. I went and watched, and listened to, the BMW staff briefing before the doors opened, bit of a strange briefing, mostly about getting customers to buy their bikes obviously but a long bit about keeping the footfall moving through the stand!!
The BikerTec stand mentioned earlier, right next to us but it took me half the day to realise what it was about! Had a very long conversation with a very nice lady who explained about the bike having various components usually found inside a broken human. Interesting but not sure they got much interest.
Noticed a Harley stand, didn’t go on it, but they were absent last year.
But all in all, the show is too long, it’s over 2 weekends, and the volumes were well down on last year as far as I could see.
Good day out for us, had a laugh with both staff and customers, scammed a few bits off the Sealey stand, had some very nice sweeties from the Bikers Mental Health stand and a few beers paid for by others.
