Deffo a cheap and easy way into it and should be easy for him on warranty side of things too.... I'm not seeing a downside.

Sorry I missed this.

I’m paying about that for a brand new Trek 8 mate ( with the tax breaks)

Plus the large, not XL is the right fit. Thanks anyway 👍

Ordered approved and processed. I’ve gone for an expensive helmet too- well, for me.

If anyone wants to help me set the bloody thing up closer to the time that would be amazing.

So it’s arrived

My Bird thingy next to it for comparison

One annoyance. I pushed the dropper post switch and the cable came out. Is it an easy fix?

Quick update.

Nipped over to Veloline. They’ve fixed it (replaced) setup my suspension front and back and generally been absolutely brilliant. Fantastic customer service.

The battery for the gears is connected to the main battery so I don’t need to remember to separately charge it.

I’m over the moon and really looking forward to getting out there

Went out today. First time on new bike and since I’ve started to feel better.

I’m not much of a review writer, so here are the key bits:

- out for about an hour. Mostly in ‘green’ or ‘blue’ setting although I did chuck it in ‘red’ for about 10 minutes just for the laugh. One light on the battery went out so I reckon that after an hours riding that’s pretty good.

-wasn’t really sure what to expect. I’m unfit and after about 20 minutes I felt like stopping , but then looked behind me to see I’d climbed a reasonable incline (I would have stopped at least once without power)

- very muddy. Have to watch the speed as it gets hilarious

- free wheeling is a dream with assisted power. Just keep going and going and going.

- laughed at least twice. I see that as a great thing

- thrilling to ride. Really happy with the bike.

Back out on Wednesday.

Another ride today. Super super muddy.

26km but about 2 hours of actual bike time. Battery dropped two of its five bars so after 2 hours, I’m more than happy with that.

One thing I’m noticing is where before I’d get off the bike for thick mud/ mud and hill etc…now it’s just power and focus. It’s making me feel as though I can go anywhere which is in itself inspiring me to get out …if that makes sense.

Make complete sense, it's one of the things that makes ebikes incredible, the lack of consequence from a wrong track, the knowledge if your legs are not in the game it doesn't matter, you can still go, still ride, still enjoy
