I did a dale carnagie sales training thing many years ago. An Importsnt part of sales is remembering clients names, position and company and they teach you to do that by breaking names snd titles into visual cues.

I don't know if other people do this but my wife likes to make phrases out of number plates to remember them. The VFR ends with 'Senile Geriatric Bike'
We had a 2 seater that was 'Pretty Good Fun'.
When I was a kid my Dad had HAL on something like a Standard 8.
"Do 65mph"
"I'm sorry, I can't do that Dave".
(Obvs it was before 2001 ASO and my Dad wasn't Dave but it's funny in retrospect

).

Not money laundering but a few years back i had to go to Ireland to pick up a van load of furniture as the woman was moving to Edinburgh. Somewhere on the edge of Bangor but next morning when leaving i asked where the shops were to get a pack of cigarettes. She told me what shop to go to but ask for what i want and tap the counter three times and you will get sold the duty free what was a fraction of the price. I liked that system.

The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures.
(They're on the Beeb)
Generally, they're getting better and betterer as each successive year tries to rise above the previous year's bar.
Although personal favourite was 2018, With Profs Alice Roberts and Aoife McLysaght
Just watched the second one. Info on calorie burn was a bit surprising.
(I note that the company that took over one of my employers is the supporter/sponsor of this year's events. I'm glad they're spending all that money I made for them on good things

).

OS Maps customer service. I got two maps with digital download for Christmas and managed to scrape off some of the digital map enable code under the scratch pad on both. Rang OS helpline today and all sorted very easily within a couple of minutes.

Cleaned my Tag, got rid of a couple of scratches, so carried on and cleaned the F’s Tag as well. Amazing how they clean up and look like new again.
Also, since having my heat pump and having heat and warmth, I had a Dimplex electric log burner look alike thing, just sold it to someone in the village, they are happy and I’m happy!!

More than half of the experts on the Government’s Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition have links to the food industry, including Nestle, Tate and Lyle and Unilever, according to a recent investigation by the BMJ.
The British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) is majority funded by ultra-processed food companies that include Coca-Cola, Nestlé, PepsiCo and Mars, while their healthy eating week was funded by Coca-Cola in 2023.
In 2023, university experts on a panel organised by the Science Media Centre in London suggested that ultra-processed foods (UPFs) were being unfairly demonised. It later emerged that three out of five had ties to junk food manufacturers.

Ti's the way corporate capitalism works. Stuff the Standards Cimmittees with tame people and manipulate the standards to suit the industry. Stuff the consumer.

The IT Crowd
First time that has actually happened word for word.

This morning I've spotted that all four series of the IT Crowed have appeared on Disney+
But not the 'banned' episode.

I've been ill for a while, but always think of my cousin who's still bedbound 5 years after bad reaction to his Covid jab.
Recently lost his leg to the illness, but still always upbeat despite being reliant on all his carers.
This typifies his humour as he told us to take the piss out him now being 1 legged.

Snowboarding
The fact that I get to do it so often, makes my life.
Yesterday I had some of the best powder runs of my life.
Today I had even better powder runs !!
There is some go pro footage which, will one day be posted, but honestly. It doesn't come close to showing how effing cool it was.
