Put fuse back in Scottoiler after it went wrong during Saturday's biblical weather commute home. Its still poorly so I suspect it's a warranty job
Tried (and failed) not to be grumpy.

Rode to the Welsh coast, had a panini, had a spirited ride back

Got a refund from amazon on something I needed so was a bit pissed off it'd been lost in transit. Then I got notification saying its in the UK? Then an email saying UPS had "missed me" so would deliver to my local pick up shop?

Today we went to see my Daughter. This involved being attacked by their 4 French Bulldog puppies. Spent about half hour playing with and watching them fight each other etc. Then I took all us out to lunch. A lovely day.

Had a slightly stressful morning, sodding french banks making it so difficult to use a bank card even when there is money in said bank

Came back, saw a sort of social worker about what being classified as disabled actually means, she's gonna contact a proper social worker to ask them to meet me to clarify!!



Spent random moments of the day laughing because my lovely physio, on me telling him yesterday that I have an Irish passport, responded with "so, we have to call you Ginger now"

Same guy that told me the other week that I should be careful in the sun. He's previously told me that I mustn't get the scar sunburnt, so I replied that I keep it covered or put sunblock on it. No, he replied, you are too tanned on your arms and shoulders, so the Irish will reject your passport application

Told my brother and a friend here about the Ginger comment - I think I'll be called Ginge for a few weeks



Chilling tonight as walked half a kilometre up a mountain at a 45 degree angle (apparently, so I was told) then 2.5 kms down the other side on long windy paths! A LOT faster than my friend expected and only ten mins slower (the down bit, I walked up on my own!) than he normally does the walk, so that was good!! Shoulder is fine, knee a smidge miffed!!

Swimming tomorrow then see the knee physio

Which bit? There is quite a lot of it. Though even if it was near our bit, it woukdnt have helped...i was fetching a wardrobe we dont need from market drayton.

PD's Diner Aberystwyth Promenade, they do decent grub and are right next door to a shit ton of free parking

Last night to be exact but still within the last 24 hours.

Yesterday was the Glorious 12th, not so good for the Grouse but it's also the culmination of the Perseid meteor shower. A few weeks ago a friend suggested that we do an evening boat trip and do some meteor spotting. It was a good idea.

Thirteen of us climbed on Çetin's boat (the only one licensed for night trips) and headed round to Kadırga where there are no waves and the sky is dark. A couple of beers and a swim while the crew prepare dinner - fish, chicken or köfte then stretch out, drink more beer and look up while putting the world to rights. It had just got dark when a big fireball streaked across the sky to the north. Most on board saw it and thought that they were in for a real treat but Perseids are generally short fast streaks and that was the sightings for the rest of the evening.

There were a couple of people not much younger than me who had never seen a meteor before but they managed to pop their cherry so everyone was happy and it was a great evening. Some large areas of forest missing to the south.

Just had a look at my application, the estimated issue date is 21/09/2021. It'll be very happy to have it, no third country 90 days in, 90 days out and wifey gets the same travel rights as I do. Spain and Portugal for the winter then maybe house hunting in the spring.

there is a little sandwich shop diner round the cornerish called Chives that does good food....the best fish and chips are at the Chip box in Penparcau, about 5minutes from the front..and cheaper.

If it had been mine I'd have scrapped it!

Apparently it has sentimental value!

It would need a few buckets of that...some of the E types I have played with..a very few xj's (excluding my mk iii) maybe...and oddly enough my x type...

Would be worth the attention is wot oi ment....

Watch quite a few classic cars, and a few bikes, pull up by my place. They'll be back tomorrow so more photos after that!!

Then I went for a walk. A long walk! With a lot of up bits!! On the mountains!!!

But it was good. Photos later cos I've been sitting with my feet in a bowl of cold water Off to have a shower, then put my feet back in some cold water (the two physios I see disagree on the reason for swollen feet after walking a reasonable distance - so I'm going with the cold water cure for now!!)

Quite impressed with myself that neither the shoulder or the knee are hurting Think I might be getting to like walking - mostly cos it's on the mountain. Never really been a fan but I had bicycles, then a horse, then motorbikes, so walking wasn't really something I did for fun! LOL But, up here it is kinda fun. And hopefully will help me get fitter ready for some serious touring in the winter

Day off (sort of). Collected the Vicar at 12h30 and headed out to the "old Church" for a wedding. Grooms family is Scottish, so lots of kilts and so on. Lovely wedding with pipes to chase them out of the Church! Headed back to the "new Church" dropped Vicar off. Collected ivy from the Church garden for my daughters stick insects she is looking after for the summer. Helped wife with preparation of our courgette (from our veggie patch) and peppers baked muffins. Going to need a cold beer to wash that down...

These are the two mountains I want to ski tour up in the winter. The one on the right I did last winter, but fell a lot coming down. The one on the left might have to be the first I attempt this summer because there's a cable car that goes up, so if I walk up I can get the cable car back down (the first time!!)










The path we 'should' have taken is the one you can see below us in that photo!! We did get to it, but we went a bit higher than necessary first!! LOL




Tis is the mountain I walked up with a friend on skis back in the winter. So it's the challenge for sometime in the next few weeks if all goes well! A bit different in the summer as you have to walk down, in the winter, walking up to ski down seems almost sensible!! LOL














Totally didn't feel like 202m up! but it was bits of up and bits of down, so seemed quite reasonable

Came home from London Village... as a pauper. Yesterday I spent £157 in Trader Vic's on cocktails. Then went for a Brick Lane curry.
