The Commonwealth Games opening ceremony on BBC 1. Fuck me, who wants to watch this shite? Half the seats are empty in the stadium and I can see why.

Hate vapers vaping near me, sickly sweet stinky cloud generating self-centred fuck nuggets. Grow a pair and smoke fags.

It is disgusting, someone I know smokes one and everyone around him ends up stinking of a sickly sweet stuff, you can even smell it on everything he touches.

I don't mind what anyone does, but when it affects other people then it's very inconsiderate, no one likes a smelly person.
I vape and even I can't stand being near those people, there's no need at all.
It's like fitting the noisiest exhaust you can and not caring that everyone nearby hates you for it.

My wife vapes but its one of these little pen style things you throw away after the battery dies.

https://www.ubervape.co.uk/vapouriz-fus ... t-11-p.asp

No great puff of smoke and only a slight whiff of raspberry. She only vapes in the kitchen with the window open. No sticky residue but that is probably down to the window being open and small amounts of smoke but if its takes her from 20 a day down to 4 or five then carry on but there is no need for the big clouds of smoke from some of these machines.

Good idea. Just access from front. So can't attack it properly.
Gonna get a new one if I can
A pal found one in a new ferreteria in the big city. I'd never been before coz it looks small from the front.
But mahoosive inside. :)

And they had the paint I've been trying to find.

I'll be heading back there when I have more time for a proper perusal. These places take more money off me than Penny spends on shoes :obscene-birdiedoublered:

If that's a pic of the replacement wheel then make a note of the bearing number for the next time, if they don't last long that is.

There seems to be a plethora of programs and articles in the media around body positivity for overweight people. It boils my piss a bit as it seems to be normalising, or even encouraging, people to get obese and stay obese.

Call it out for what it is: fucking unhealthy in the extreme. That's no cause for celebration.

Starting to feel it too. Having what seems like a bit of trouble breathing. Not exactly short of breath, but feels like the old bellows are working at about 90% efficiency. Every once in a while I catch my breath and it hurts a bit.

I must admit, I was s bit arrogant about Capt. Covid as I'm in reasonable shape, as most days I'll go gym, run, weight train, etc. and am in good health generally, but this virus has fucked me over a bit.

Fitness doesn't always seem to mean you'll get through it better? I'm an overweight asthmatic and all it did to me was make fall asleep at times. Yet I've heard loads of tales of superfit people that have suffered badly at the hands of this virus.

Eat healthy, hydrate and don't overdo it.

GWS

Dr Taipan.
It's proper weird for sure. I had two doses about 18 months apart. Didn't notice either time but lost my sense of taste and smell the first time and it's only just coming back recently. Apart from that, I wouldn't have know the first time and the second time I only knew because a mate tested positive so I did a test too. And I'm not fit or light!! Although the other health checks (cholesterol, lung function, various other stuffs) are all fine and my recovery rate from exercise has always been fast. Whereas, I've got friends who are similar in age and lack of lightness/fitness who are still suffering from bad long covid after getting it in the first lock down or before. Wierd! Mind you, I've never had flu either - not the one that knocks you off your feet and causes inability to get up and function!! LOL

Potter wrote: Fri Jul 29, 2022 9:51 am Some people use a really sickly fruit flavoured juice and it seems to cling to everything and even leave a sticky residue if they keep breathing it out over the same places. The bloke I'm on about passed me his phone to look at something and after I gave it back to him my hand stank like a bag of gummy bears. I've been to his place and it reeks of it - I suppose it's better than reeking like an old ashtray but it's so sickly it's vom
I had friends years ago that used the vapes which produced HUGE clouds of vape stuff and it was just nasty sat in their hour. Three adults vaping madly, it was likely a sickly smelling fog   When I'm out, I try and sit up wind (if outside) of any vapes that have that sweet sickly smell. Luckily I don't know anyone that uses them inside and most of the french still go outside to smoke actual tobacco!!

I did have to laugh when the army got involved.

I'd have thought if there's one profession where fatties can be called fatties it's the Army. I'd also have thought you'd have to be at least a little bit thick skinned in the Army.

Had arranged to go into the office for some collaborative meetings. I'm halfway in when I suddenly realise I have forgotten my work phone, log in card and other bits I need. I do a U turn and head the 20 minutes back home. I park the bike on the drive, run in, get my stuff and, as I faff around with the tail pack, the bike rolls off the side stand. I can only assume I hadn't locked it in place properly. Net result a broken clutch lever, scraped engine guard and broken tail pack, which I assume was done as it gouged itself down my right thigh.

Fuck sticks.

Now in work wondering why the fuck I didn't cal in sick today. Mug.

I think i may have just got over it and never knew i had it. I let my B12 jab laps by over a week and was putting the tiredness and aching arms down to that and the busy week through the heatwave. Got my B12 and a few days later started to feel better. I also got light headed sometimes when i got up but that is now gone also so who knows.

My total inability to pronounce certain sounds correctly. I try, I really really try. But "C'est tout" and "Sais-tu?" sound the same to me!! Not 100% but there's hardly any difference when the french speak!

My physio today picked me up on the pronunciation of 'Rouge" - there's a lot less 'u' in the sound than I was taught at school and its REALLY HARD to change the way you learnt to say a word 40 years ago!! LOL

I do like that he helps me and corrects me. But sometimes it pisses me off cos he does it as I say the word incorrectly and so I never actually get to say the sentence I was going to say!!

I'm sure I will get there, but I've barely spoken any French since I've been back, so really need to go talk more. But until the sick pay thing is sorted out (social worker in rehab fucked up the paperwork) I can't go and have coffee anywhere to practice!! LOL And the only people not working up here are English

Anyway - need to sit and watch the storm and practice my oooo, ou and o sounds
