Got mine , will sort it tomorrow …. Cheers Al
Now can you just tell the forecast rain to piss off as that would be great
I know the track sits in its own weird weather system so take it as it is on the day as usual

Just got this from @Alan PBTD
"Please note our planned event for this Friday – 2nd September is CANCELLED – but the Saturday and Sunday events will continue as per schedule.
Having received 10 cancellations / postponements today it’s has made a tight event ( and from experience more to follow ) totally unviable to operate. There are now 2 choices :
1.0 A refund for the Friday event
2.0 A date change to either of our remaining 2022 dates : Saturday 3rd/ Sunday 4th / Saturday 24th / Sunday 25th / October 15th / October 16th"
Real shame but I can understand the reasons.
We have a decision to make - I've got hotel bookings for the Thursday and Friday too.....hey ho

Yeah Alan mentioned that to me an hour or so ago.
Shame but is very much the way trackdays are going for all organisers at the moment. I'll see how that affects our getting into circuit on Fri afternoon or whether we're all now rocking up Sat morning

IMPORTANT
It's only relevant to a couple of you lot but we've cancelled Friday's Trackday - but will continue with Saturday and Sunday as arranged. Friday's have been a hard sell and it was tight but having received 10 cancellations / postponements earlier today it makes the event financialy unviable. It is frustrating for both riders and ourselves especially as so much work has already been done, but there were are. Sign of the times I suppose, just frustrating that it always happens in the week before the event..
Off the record, Funeral Directors must be making a fortune...
I've e mailed the RTTL riders booked for Friday earlier but if you have any questions drop me a line @ admin@philbevantrackdays.co.uk
And Couchy - Thoughts are... it'll be best kept in the back of the van...If it's a complete race system it'll read 102 / 105 DB static and a DB killer ain't gonna bring it down enought to get to 96DB Drive by. Educated guess but he needs a long Pipeworks pipe or MHP and possibly a remap. The instructors ZX10 and R1's are smack on the limit - my Harley just looks the biz parked up..

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4
Have just got the email- not somethng I've had happen before (Covid lockdowns etc excepted)- F. annoying, particularly as Friday looks to be the dry day of the two
@Alan PBTD - the way I read the email, it's as there have been 10 cancellations/postponements today, which I take it means it's now finacially unviable for you, so, what happens if you get a stack of Saturday cancellations in next day or so- will that be canceled too?
Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4
Dear All - The only small change for Friday is u can only arrive at Pembrey between 6.00pm and 10pm Friday night as aposed to rocking up Friday afternoon. Sat am gates will open @ 7.00am as normal - when I get there..
And we're booked x 2 for supper Friday night ?

I've not booked a table yet, but I'll round up numbers this week and book one. Don't forget, we're in the West one on the roundabout. But yeah Friday 6.30 works or whenever suits everyone.Alan PBTD wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 9:04 pmDear All - The only small change for Friday is u can only arrive at Pembrey between 6.00pm and 10pm Friday night as aposed to rocking up Friday afternoon. I've got my kids that weekend and I think we're going camping so I won't be there. I hope you all have a great time, I'm sure it will be grand.
To a kid looking up to me, life ain't nothing but bitches and money.

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4
Lol I did tell the thread lots of times, honestly
Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4
Hey ho.. that decides it, then. I've asked @Alan PBTD for a refund. Will catch up another time - shame about the hotel, but it's only money, eh?
Galling thing is I turned down a Spurs v Fulham ticket this Saturday as I had booked the Friday TD (separate from the thread).

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4
I guess being required to provide proof of a positive Covid test to get your money back for a possible damp days "testing" when you wanted dry weather means a deceased relative is the next best option as you cant exactly ask for proof by email
Shame for those who had planned a Friday day to make a weekend of it but pointless to try and run it at a loss financially as that one days loss will have an effect on the TDO days for other future events
Still looking forward to this but might be carrying a bit more options of kit for the day and 700 mile round trip

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4
Thinking about this overnight I don’t know why you’ve cancelled the day for people who cancelled their place within 7 days of the track days. Surely you’re under no obligation to return their money when you’ve got the rest of the people who have paid up and easy to go? Anyway, it is what it is but it is disappointing on the circumstances.

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4
I'm assuming all these people hit it exactly on 7 days to go and guessing their T&Cs say 7 days are OK (admittedly i've not checked that)... but personally, i'd have told them to bugger off as well... However, i'm not in customer services type role and being a 'people person' isn't sometimes my strong point. I'm good with mates, but with people who try and wangle out of things because of rain, well, personally i think they'd get a very short discussion with me and told "don't come back again"... But that's why i work with computers, not with people.dern wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:56 am Thinking about this overnight I don’t know why you’ve cancelled the day for people who cancelled their place within 7 days of the track days. My concern for 'us' though is that there's a longer term situation either with PBTD and their desire/ability to run places. Or with RTTL members who say "well i'm not going next year"... With the lack of the Wiltshire lads this year, our numbers have dropped from where we'd normally expect to be and with the others like @2xtwins pulling due to the cancellation etc, i wonder if next year we as a group will bother with a trackday,.. that is, if it's even viable.
I've not seen anything from @singlesman yet but i know this will screw up a chunk of his and his lads plans as they couldn't do the Sunday at all due to family stuff and they were booked on the Sat.
FWIW, me and @Welsh Muffin are still going, along with our lad...Nothing has changed there for us.... well, apart from an extra jumper being needed if it's horrible lol. I still wanna go, see some mates, catch up with people.... but well, it'll be an expensive trip out for that.
