To me the frame looks very reminiscent of a 1986-89 RC24 VFR750 - the one with conventional swingarm.
It also reminds me of the way Derek Chittenden built his Hejira frames, although his were nearly all box section steel, not ali.

I wondered about K1100 but it looks like they've mounted it upside down or summink.
Looking at the riding position I don't think comfort was a factor in the build.
