I'm 55 this year, I'm not sure I'm the noisy pipe type anymore.

How about noisy slippers ?Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Mon Jan 17, 2022 1:51 pm I'm 55 this year, I'm not sure I'm the noisy pipe type anymore.
I've spent hours looking at systems for my MT-07 and reading the reviews etc. I want something I can hear, but not something overly loud. It's not easy...Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Mon Jan 17, 2022 1:51 pm I'm 55 this year, I'm not sure I'm the noisy pipe type anymore.
Akrapovic are always a good bet. A decent note with the baffles in and not hideously loud with baffles out.Taipan wrote: Mon Jan 17, 2022 2:01 pmI've spent hours looking at systems for my MT-07 and reading the reviews etc. I want something I can hear, but not something overly loud. It looks like the love child of water plumbing and a dust buster
That's hideous. Nearly as bad as the standard can on mineLe_Fromage_Grande wrote: Sun Jan 30, 2022 1:01 pm IMG_30012022_125741_(2000_x_900_pixel).jpg
Standard exhaust is black because I didn't get one with the bike, this one was £30 off eBay and was brand new, you can smell the new paint getting hot.
If it were me and I know it's not,I'd pick an exhaust which pleased my eyes and get the bike flashed to suit. There are few stock cans now I'd be happy with.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Sun Jan 23, 2022 2:03 pm Put the standard exhaust on it yesterday, went out for a ride today, the standard is staying on, the bike is quieter, smoother and definitely faster, the throttle response is a lot better as well.
Exhaust, flash and a shock.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:31 pm Well I'm happy with it, so it's staying on, I'd rather spend money on a rear shock for it
Nope, just a shock, and even then the original isn't that bad, I'm probably better off just riding itSkub wrote: Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:41 pmExhaust, flash and a shock.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:31 pm Well I'm happy with it, so it's staying on, I'd rather spend money on a rear shock for it![]()
Is it just an exhaust, or an exhaust/pannier combo?Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Sun Jan 30, 2022 1:01 pm IMG_30012022_125741_(2000_x_900_pixel).jpg

That's 450 more than I've done on mineLe_Fromage_Grande wrote: Sat Feb 26, 2022 3:23 pm Been out on it today, I've now done over 900 miles on it, not bad for 4 months in winter, tbh I didn't realised I'd owned it that long.
I still think it's great, it's like Suzuki have thought "let's build a bike for 55 year olds who had GSXR750s 20 to 30years ago" and then built a near perfect bike for me.
I'd forgotten how easy over taking cars is on a modern 750, just crack the throttle open and go, found out it will lift the front wheel a tiny bit in traction control mode 1, it also doesn't like hard acceleration on bumpy B roads, the rear shock can't keep the rear wheel in contact with the road.
The front tyre doesn't grip on squashed rodents.
And it feels a bit low geared.
