Fairly normal behaviour for a cat...

I love cats. They are so weird!!
I was talking to a mate this morning on some work paperwork we are both struggling to sort out and she said 'hang on, I NEED a coffee' followed by a "FFS" !!
Something was blocking the coffee and coffee machine (Ok, probably not actually blocking, but he was trying to be in the way )
I want one of these - I think he's a cross but mostly he's a Maine Coon

I think he just looks like that! He's never looked any different when I've seen him!! Equally, if she was about to make him move so she could make coffee, or he knew she was about to make a lot of noise making coffee, maybe he is actually cross!!
Still very handsome tho!!

I love the look of Maine Coons, although some of them do look like Lucifer's best mate. But they really are very physically BIG cats. They're nearly as big (and as heavy) as a medium sized dog. Something that size napping on your lap or competing for bed territory could be quite a struggle...

My parents Bengal absolutely adores cardboard boxes, he destroys them over the course of a few days.
Totally fucking bat shit crazy and as noisy as a two year old as well.

I think this one is a cross because he isn't as huge as I'd expected him to be.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 8:30 pm I love the look of Maine Coons, although some of them do look like Lucifer's best mate. There's a part of me that wants a dog but my lifestyle (and inclination to go out in all weathers) doesn't allow that.
And I do very much prefer cats. And I've always preferred the larger more chunky cats!! LOL I'm sure I'd love a MaineCoon - after all, there's only me here, so loads of space to fight over!! LOL (I wouldn't get one until I had a larger and ground floor apartment!! LOL )

Anna and Elsa.
8 week old sisters, came from the local shelter complete with a dirty blanket and a wheel of cardboard
You have to have kids or grandkids of a certain age to know where the names come from.

My two on their chair. Quite how the Frenchie sleeps with one leg like that is beyond me, but then, for her, it’s a pretty conventional sleeping position compared to some of her others!

They're a bit more used to living here now and coming out of their cages, nearly literally. Enough for Mrs. D to snap them and make a fake contact sheet

Re: Have we got a 'Show us your pets' thread?
The last pic of my lads was a couple of weeks old and the kitten was 6 months old.. this pic is taken at 7 months old, he's 4kg and almost as big as big old Dave already!
We're just sending off a DNA test for the (not very) little one as he is displaying several 'Bengal like' traits making us think he might be a cross breed or (more likely) one of his parents was. Even if he's not, he's going to be a lump!

Re: Have we got a 'Show us your pets' thread?
Forgot about this arsehole. This was Jack a rescue we had. You could chuck a stick into the bush and he came out with a tree. At the time we had an Estate and two Rotties. Kiera the bitch would be sitting in the back waiting and Jack would refuse to get in unless his stick came with us. The side at my garden gate was full of old logs. Thankfully i had a neighbour who still had a coal fire so he would take some now and then.

That looks as if you've stuck one to the wall and nailed the other on the ceiling.

New Christmas tree dec. Cannot recommend, very scratchy and makes a hissing noise when you try and take it down.

A snap to mark the special occasion of Morris and Eddie sharing the same chair, because they normally hate each other.
