I asked a mate to send me some stamps so I can give some cards to a friend here to post in the uk. She took advantage of the request to send me a very very early Christmas card!

We’ve had a bit of weather here the last couple of weeks. 10 days of snow (approx 60-70cm at 2000m) followed by heavy rain for three days
Well, everyone said we needed some water on the land. But -
No trains going through Notre Dame du Briançon anytime soon
(this is about 45 mins from me. The Isère has flowed over a bit I think!!! )
Other direction -
Close up in this direction, melt coming off the mountain means the river is wild, you can see the spray off the telegraph pole at the edges of the river!!!!

I've seen loads of them on Instagram now.
It must be some kind of Rorschach test, filter for autism/colour-blindness/psychopathy or something like that
. I always see the face first.Presumably it's some new software tool which has just come out, like that thing which makes a picture out of hundreds of other pictures that was all the rage in the 90s.

After our derailment and deaths up in Scotland, NR would be having a fit over that amount of running water over rails and ballast. However if you were a troubled person visiting the railway then we'd be keeping the power on and crossing our fingers.
