Re: Show Us Your Ugly Mugs
We have a company wide Taskmaster game thing run by HR. If you've seen the TV show you can guess the sort of thing.
Yesterday there was a spot challenge to get a photo with / share a teams call with people from as many different decades as possible. Turns out we don't actually have that many colleagues in the sorta 35-45 age range, so I spent alot of yesterday on calls holding up this sign...
Also found out quite a lot of my coworkers are
younger than the iPod.

Re: Show Us Your Ugly Mugs
My not-so-little girl and her very proud parents. We went out to celebrate her A level results and I got quite squiffy by the end of the day.
Happy to report that she has both her mum's looks and brains.

How's that copper bangle working?

I'm really lucky that one of my best mates here is a Cornish girl who makes "Cornish" pasties in her shop down in the valley! Ok, she can't call them cornish pasties as they are made in France! BUT, I call them Cornish pasties

Re: Show Us Your Ugly Mugs
I wasn't that bothered about trying one as when I'm on the coast I'm normally eating seafood, but there was such a queue outside this place, we thought we ought to give them a try. That one was a standard size and with steak as opposed to mince and I certainly got the point of it being a cornish miners complete lunch. Very filling and makes me want to try making one.Noggin wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 12:02 pmLucky you!Taipan wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 8:27 pm Moi tucking into Cornwall’s most famous product! There's a knack to making them, and the twist in the pastry! Let us know how you get on when you tryTaipan wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 12:07 pmI wasn't that bothered about trying one as when I'm on the coast I'm normally eating seafood, but there was such a queue outside this place, we thought we ought to give them a try. My holiday promises never come to fruition. I'm supposed to be having a greek salad every night since going to Greece the other year but have yet to do itNoggin wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 12:08 pmThere's a knack to making them, and the twist in the pastry! Re: Show Us Your Ugly Mugs
Ginsters, and anyone else using minced meat, or diced veg, make pies. Pasties need cut pieces of beef and chipped pieces of potato and swede.Taipan wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 8:27 pm Moi tucking into Cornwall’s most famous product!
