I think it stopped when 250 GP class was scrapped.
500s went about same time IIRC

Way back in 1983 & 1985.I remember being on the grid at Aintree with Foggy,both of us in novice jackets,he was on a Ducati,think it was a Rutter F2 replica. I think 750 was red. 1300 was white?

When I raced Earlystocks, 250's were green, 500's were yellow, cos the RD400's had yellow boards and I had yellow on my XBR500. Red was 750's and white for the big bikes, iirc
